I really struggled during my pregnancy. It was not easy for me at all. I wasn’t overly sick, I didn’t have a ton of physical symptoms but pregnancy utterly wiped me out. Buttttt…

I am stepping back into the birth world!! Home birth is 100% where I feel called to be, I’m working towards learning more about midwifery and excited to see where it takes me!

I have been to one birth since having Eliza and have a couple more coming up this year and many more next year and most of those births are as a midwifery assistant!

Baby sister coming next year!

I will be taking some time off from attending births while I focus on preparing for my birth and snuggling with my newborn!

Marlea is still taking clients and I will still be available to help with prenatal classes and postpartum support until baby comes!

This year has been so challenging and honestly I’m excited to start a new year!

This was the first full year of birth work for us and we learned SO much! 2024 will look a little different with Marlea having her little boy in February but I’m excited to see where the year takes us!!

We are in the prime of induction season. Don’t let you doctors fear you into thinking your body doesn’t know what it is doing! ⁣
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are among the rarest birthdays, why is that?

Not because baby’s just don’t want to be born that day, because doctors are inducing women well before their due date so they can clear their schedule for the holidays.

A haunted house but…

Honestly half the time birth in the medical system is a haunted house.

You are either being steam rolled by the system or having to advocate constantly for the birth you want.

This is why choosing a good provider, a good birth location and a solid birth team is sooo important!!

Set the tone from the beginning, discus your birth plan with your doctor and nurses, let them know your goals and how you plan to reach them. Keep an open line of communication going.

It doesn’t have to be scary, you just gotta put in the work!

This workshop we will cover the domino effect of interventions and how even the smallest decision can change the flow of your birth!

With the holiday season coming up, inductions and interventions are going to be at an all time high! This workshop will arm you with all the skills and knowledge you need to know your rights in the birth space!

Almost all births have some sort of intervention, it’s up to you what you chose to accept and what you don’t! It doesn’t matter if you are birthing in or out of the hospital system I’m positive you will learn something!
