Nobody talks enough about how intense those first few days of breastfeeding can feel 🤍
You may notice your breasts feel hard, heavy, or extra full — this is often a sign that your milk is coming in. As milk volume and blood flow increase, temporary engorgement can occur. While uncomfortable, this is common, normal, and usually improves as feeding routines become more established.
✨ What can help?
• Feed frequently
• Use a warm compress before feeding
• Apply a cold compress after feeding
If discomfort doesn’t improve or you’re experiencing other breastfeeding challenges, please reach out. Our midwives and on-site lactation consultants are here to support you through every step of your feeding journey 🤍
