It’s been a min, how have you been?

I’ve been tired, feeling a bit drained, and exhausted. Finding the will to live durning a deep dark hormonal depression caused by a menstrual cycle is soul draining. Yet I continue to yearn for better days. If you feel how I feel or ever felt the lowest lows during your time of the month, I hope this post finds you and I hope it helps you feel less alone.

We asked around and were told, when working out during the menstrual phase we should opt for low-impact workouts like the following:
o   Mat pilates
o   Foam rolling
o   Stretching
We should Focus on restorative movement like:
o   Yin yoga
Swap your run for a walk or low-incline hike outside
Make sure you’re properly fueled to keep blood sugar balanced
Allow yourself rest days
Skip high-intensity exercise like:
o   Cycling
o   Bootcamp
o   Cardio etc…

Don’t forget to check in with your body and energy levels before engaging in any exercise.

Did you know PCOS Awareness is the month of September?
Our founder has struggled with the in’s and out’s of being diagnosed with this hormonal disorder including infertility for years. Her journey of discovery, understanding, and acceptance lead us all here. Although we are extremely thankful we know at times it’s not easy. So we decided to start our awareness campaign with a few self-care tips.
