People often ask about our doctor’s story and her education, so we wanted to take a moment to share a bit about her!
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in the DFW Metroplex, she graduated from Plano East Senior High School and attended Austin College, where she pursued a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. During her time in college, she accomplished an Honors Thesis in Psychology, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Chi, and Psi Chi, and graduated with Summa Cum Laude.
She was granted admission into the early acceptance program for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – School of Medicine in Lubbock. During her time in medical school, she received the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish by providing medical needs for the Latino-Hispanic community. With a broadened cultural outlook and emphasis in health maintenance of various communities, she returned to Dallas to train in Family and Community Medicine residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital.
During residency, she intensified my interest in Sports Medicine by involving in various sports coverages ranging from World Olympic Gymnastics Academy meets to NHL Dallas Stars.
Now she a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist who is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She currently serve as the Assistant Team Physician for the Dallas Stars NHL Hockey Club and Team Physician for the Dallas Stars Ice Girls and Dallas Sidekicks Dancers.
