Dr. Aly is a professor of plastic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern with 25 years of experience. He pioneered the subspecialty of Post Bariatric Plastic Surgery and published the first textbook on the subject titled Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss, which is considered the “bible” of this subspecialty. Dr. Aly has lectured and/or performed surgical demonstrations in over 35

countries and is considered by many as the world’s foremost authority on plastic surgery after massive weight loss. Dr. Aly has received the “Lockwood Award,” which has only been bestowed on 6 recipients in the history of plastic surgery. This award is conferred on surgeons that have made major contributions to the field of body contouring. He is the body contouring section editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and is past president of the Aesthetic Surgery Education & Research Foundation (ASERF). Dr. Aly has special expertise in complex rhinoplasty, which includes “Revision Rhinoplasty” and “Ethnic Rhinoplasty” (Middle-Eastern, African American, Asian, etc). He overall specializes in cosmetic surgery, especially breast augmentation, breast reduction, tummy tucks, and liposuction.
