To make an outreach clinic possible, we rely on three things: government health workers, a community that organises itself, and supporters like you who help us mobilise these communities and provide basic equipment for an enabling clinical environment.

With your support, HAC has now expanded to Namayingo, a fishing community in Eastern Uganda. We successfully held our first integrated outreach clinic, ensuring families living far from health facilities can receive the services they need.

Big strides in Mpigi District! 🎉

Last week, our team trained 18 health workers on short-term and long-term family planning methods, marking the start of the Treat and Teach Family Planning program in the district.

This week, we’re moving from training to action, with two integrated outreaches bringing family planning and immunisation services right to the community. Together, we’re closing the Distance to healthcare access. 💚

One outreach site = 3+ villages served! 🙌

Every HAC outreach clinic brings healthcare closer to home for people in remote communities. Through 130 organized outreach sites, government health workers provide family planning, immunization, antenatal care, and general treatment — saving communities from walking miles to access healthcare.

Last week, we were in Mpigi District for an inception meeting with district officials and health workers!

Thanks to the generous support from the Bergstrom Foundation, we’re excited to improve access to family planning in remote, underserved communities of Mpigi district.

Through outreach clinics, on-job health worker training, supply chain support, and Community Health Workers demand generation, we’re bringing services closer to families who need them most.

Nothing for the community without the community!💪

This week, we met with leaders and members of Bukabi Village in Mpigi District to discuss how to make their monthly outreach clinic even more effective.

Together with the In-Charge of Butoolo HC III, the community reviewed how services are delivered and agreed on a day that works best for both health workers and residents.

For Bukabi and other remote villages, this is more than just an outreach; it’s a clinic that brings healthcare closer to the people who need it most.

📍 To over 130 remote communities in Uganda, this is their health facility.

🏥 Building a hospital in every village is far too costly, but at HAC, we believe in . By collaborating with government nurses and local leaders, we established affordable, monthly community-led outreach clinics.

💙 For 10+ years, together we’ve sustained 130+ outreach sites (serving 3+ villages each) and reached 124,000+ patients with integrated primary healthcare.
