📍 To over 130 remote communities in Uganda, this is their health facility.

🏥 Building a hospital in every village is far too costly, but at HAC, we believe in . By collaborating with government nurses and local leaders, we established affordable, monthly community-led outreach clinics.

💙 For 10+ years, together we’ve sustained 130+ outreach sites (serving 3+ villages each) and reached 124,000+ patients with integrated primary healthcare.

👉 This is how we’re closing the distance to healthcare, community by community.

This week, we kicked off our district stakeholder engagement meetings with Community Health Workers, health workers, community leaders, and district officials.

What stood out was how participants truly owned the discussions, openly highlighting challenges, sharing what others are doing well, and setting a clear way forward to make outreach clinics more successful. 💡

We’re proud to create spaces where community voices and health leaders meet, working together to bring healthcare closer to remote communities.

📍 This week, we were in Bukomansimbi and Mpigi, and we’re excited to visit four more districts in the coming days!

💙 Together, we are closing the distance to healthcare.

📍 These streets are far from the nearest health facility, yet they are filled with families, especially women, in need of antenatal care, family planning, and child immunisation.

Through our community-led outreach model, we’ve reached over 130 remote communities, and we’re not stopping. 💙

Today, we want to celebrate and recognize one of our exceptional board members whose continued support has been the backbone of Health Access Connect's mission for years.

Her unwavering commitment, through both her time and generous contributions, has been instrumental in expanding our Medicycle program's reach to Uganda's most remote villages. Because of leaders like her, families in the "last mile" communities now have access to essential healthcare services including immunizations, treatment for common illnesses, and family planning.
