We're Still Here. Still Closing the Distance. 💙

2025 was supposed to break us. When we lost our USAID Development Innovation Ventures award, we wondered if our ability to serve communities would collapse. Our communities wondered if we'd be there for them too.

But we're still here. Still closing the distance.

Thanks to supporters like YOU, Health Access Connect didn't just survive 2025; we're entering 2026 with renewed purpose and an ambitious vision.
Our 2026 Vision:
✨ 70+ New Communities - Expanding our community-driven, integrated outreach model to over 70 new communities (each site serves 3+ villages)
🔬 Groundbreaking Research - Launching a rigorous randomized controlled trial to provide evidence about what works in delivering healthcare to marginalized and remote communities
💪 Quality & Sustainability - Building integrated healthcare systems that will serve communities for years to come.

After a long year of linking remote communities to healthcare, we came together this week to reflect on our journey, review our performance, and plan for 2026.

Everyone now has clear priorities (rocks) for the first quarter of the year, key actions that will strengthen our teams and the organisation as a whole. With the planning done, we took a day off to play, relax, and recharge together.

🏍️ We’re excited to begin our journey in Nakasongola!

On Tuesday, we met with the District leadership to introduce our community-led Medicycles approach. This marks our first step in to healthcare for families in Nakasongola.

We’re looking forward to signing an MoU in January 2026 and starting a visibility study that will help us understand how best to serve these communities.

Together, we can bring healthcare closer. 💙
