Did you know that we often perform same day procedures for eyelid lesions? Whether you have a stubborn chalazion (internal stye) or a benign or malignant tumor on your eyelid, we can often perform an excision or biopsy on the
same day, depending on the condition. During your
examination, Dr Abbott will look at your "bump” under the slit lamp (microscope for eyes 🔬👁) and determine what it most likely is and which approach should be taken.

After 4 years of medical school, one must complete a general medical or surgical internship, an Ophthalmology residency, and finally Fellowship training in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery.
