DPN Update!!! The neck is giving what she should. My goal was reduction in the amount, not complete elimination. My daughter actually has her favorite ones on my face 🥴. So I’ll keep a few….I guess. Results take 1-2 weeks. No PIH 🙌🏾.

Body and facial soaps aren’t interchangeable. Remember chemistry? No? Ok, no worries 😉. When it comes to soaps, chemical formulation and pH matter. pH of skin = 5.4, so the ideal cleanser has a pH of 5.4-7.0. Meanwhile, the pH of a true soap is closer to 10, making soap more drying than a cleanser.
🧼 True soap (pH 9-10, think Ivory soap) are better for oily body skin, but can be harsh for facial skin or dryer skin types.
🧼 Combars (pH 9-10, think Irish Spring) are technically not as drying as a true soap because they have added ingredients for moisture. However, they can still be too harsh for facial skin.
🧼Syndets (pH 5.5-7, think Dove) contain < 10% soap and are good for sensitive body skin.
🧼 Facial cleansers (pH 5.5-7, think Cetaphil) are formulated to increase tolerability for facial skin. They can add moisture if the skin is dry or reduce oil if the skin is oily.

I’m so excited to share these results!!!!!! Her skin has come such a long way. I am so proud of her!
I gave her the plan, we executed it, and now she’s enjoying the rewards.

✅See a dermatalogist you trust.
✅I developed a custom plan which addressed her acne and discoloration.
✅She trusted the process. Compliance is everything! This did not happen overnight.
✅Behavior modification. Stop picking!
