Have you heard about the NextGen Counseling Education Program at UT Southwestern? If you are interested in patient advocacy and genetics, this course is for you!

Designed for prospective genetic counseling students, NextGen explores key aspects of the Genetic Counseling profession and provides a comprehensive overview of the Genetic Counseling field. This 12-week course is 100% online and includes 10 modules of learning.

What an exciting night of "Celebrating Excellence in Education", hosted by the Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT)!

Congratulations to Bethany Grubb, Ph.D., M.P.H., M.P.A.S., PA-C, Associate Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, and Markey McNutt II, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director of the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program and Associate Professor in the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development and the Department of Internal Medicine, for being recognized as recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Educator Award.

Interprofessional collaboration is at the forefront of what we do at the School of Health Professions as we train students to meet the challenges and opportunities in a wide range of dynamic fields. Our took that same principle to Waco, Texas, as they participated in an event with Baylor University's Physical Therapy Students.

The Prosthetics-Orthotics Class of 2026 made the most of their trip by visiting the Baylor bears! đŸģ
