We all remember The Biggest Loser era—dramatic weight loss, extreme workouts, and strict diets. But here’s what the show didn’t show you:

❌ Extreme restriction = extreme rebound
❌ Quick fixes can damage your metabolism
❌ Exercise as punishment doesn’t last
❌ Mindset matters as much as the meal plan

I can’t make this s$!+ up. True story!
I have so much empathy for women living in bigger bodies who go to the doctor about a legitimate concern & instead of getting a well rounded care plan, they get told: ‘Your BMI is the problem.’
BMI was never designed to measure individual health. Yet it’s still thrown around as if it tells the full story.
A lot of my clients are shocked that none of my intake forms or check-in forms mention BMI. Because over here, I understand YOU deserve care that looks BEYOND a single number.
Because your body, your health, and your life are more than a simple calculation.

Let’s be real—nobody chooses the long route if there’s a shorter one. Be so for real.
But when it comes to weight loss, suddenly shortcuts get treated like a moral failing. 🙄
Here’s the truth: shortcuts aren’t inherently good or bad. It’s typically the mindset that has to be examined when we think about using a short shortcut.
So before you decide to use a “shortcut”, ask yourself:
1️⃣ Will this actually give me sustainable results?
2️⃣ Can I realistically keep this up long-term?

If the answer is no…then it’s not a shortcut, it’s a detour.
