This video is a good primer. If you or someone you love suffers from Diabetic Foot Neuropathy or severe back pain, please get in touch.

The origins of chronic neuropathic pain are still not extensively understood. For this reason, despite the wide variety of pain medications available on the market, neuropathic pain is challenging to treat. The present therapeutic alternative considered as the gold standard for many kinds of chronic neuropathic pain is epidural spinal cord stimulation.

In cases where screening tools for the correct diagnosis of neuropathic pain have been validated, spinal cord stimulation success rates are remarkable (in the range of about 50–75%). There are many established guidelines for pre-operative evaluations to determine if this procedure is right for you.

Millions of Americans have a peripheral neuropathy, a form of nerve damage that can cause pain, numbness and other symptoms. It’s important to know:

• These disorders are rarely life-threatening but can lead to disabling symptoms if left untreated.
• Early diagnosis and treatment is important. A “wait and see” approach can lead to permanent nerve damage.
• Nerves can become injured by disease, infection, accidents and other causes
