Happy Thanksgiving!🍂
Today we’re celebrating the incredible people behind our mission. With compassion and dedication, our team members go above and beyond to ensure our patients and their families receive the best care imaginable. We’re thankful for everything they do to make life better for children. 🎈

When their twin girls arrived unexpectedly early, Makenzie and Chris leaned on the compassionate care team at Children’s Health, who supported their entire family through the NICU journey. ❤️

Makenzie remembers how all the beeping monitors and constant activity felt overwhelming at first. “But the nurses always took time to explain what every tube, test or treatment was and why it was needed,” she says.

Today, the twins are thriving. Josie is starting to crawl, while Daphne prefers to be carried, which Makenzie credits to her more relaxed personality. Read Josie and Daphne's inspiring story: https://bit.ly/4od3RrC

We’re excited to team up with Ronald McDonald House of Dallas for The Trains at NorthPark to offer Sensory-Friendly Hours, a special time designed to help children and families enjoy the fun in a calmer, more comfortable setting.

Experience the exhibit with dimmed lights, quieter sounds and smaller crowds, making it the perfect way to soak in the season’s magic. The exhibit is open now through January 4, 2026. Plan your visit today: https://bit.ly/43qphdj

We toured KidZania USA with Kid Reporter Hudson for a kid’s-eye view of some of the important jobs at Children’s Health that help keep our community happy and healthy.

Hudson tried his hand at heart surgery, emergency medicine and even athletic training at the Children's Health Andrews Institute! We'd say his future’s looking bright! 🎈

Has your kid explored Children's Health careers at KidZania yet?

The Beyond ABC Symposium brought together community leaders in health care, education and policy to explore insights from the 2025 Beyond ABC report and discuss how we can make a meaningful difference for children and families across North Texas.

Zach Rausch, Senior Research Scientist at NYU’s Stern School of Business and Lead Researcher to The Anxious Generation author Jonathan Haidt, led an engaging discussion on how to support youth mental health in the digital age.

When 13-year-old Addy had an unexpected seizure, she was rushed to the ER in her hometown of Tulsa, OK. When faced with a months-long wait to see a neurologist, her mom turned to Children's Medical Center Plano for expert care.

Addy and her family met Dr. Afsaneh Talai, Pediatric Neurologist and Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, who explained Addy's epilepsy diagnosis and created a care plan.

Today, Addy is one year seizure-free and can focus on being a kid – enjoying school, playing cello and piano, figure skating and soccer. 💜

Today we recognize and thank all who have served in our nation’s armed forces. We’re especially proud to honor members of our own team, like Traci.

Traci spent 14 years in the military, where she learned the power of discipline, teamwork and staying calm under pressure. Those same qualities continue to shine through in her work at Children’s Health, where she leads with purpose and a mission-driven mindset.

Thank you, Traci, and thank you to all veterans for your service and sacrifice. Your courage inspires us every day.
