#4 Don’t forget to wash your hands!!

After exploring new places, don’t forget to wash those new germs off your hands and body before eating, sleeping or even hugging each other. Keep disinfectant wipes in your car, and get in good healthy habits to wash your hands as soon as you enter your house or sleeping spot, don’t bring and keep those yucky germs on your body!

Just because you are on vacation does not give you a free pass to treat your body like garbage. Vacations are fun, but if you don’t take care of your body while you are away, you may regret it when you get back.

#3 Don’t leave the essential oils behind
Essential oils can go a long way! I bring Peppermint, Lavender and Lemon everywhere I go!

Add all 3 in a diffuser for a wonderful allergen eliminator. Peppermint is great to rub on your stomach or add 1 drop to your water if acid reflux or travel foods got you down or bubbly. Lavender on pillow cases or diffused in rooms will help you or the kids settle down in unfamiliar places after a long exciting day and get proper rest.

In the Summer of 2023, she was victim of a hit and run, which led her to seek chiropractic care. A few visits later, she realized the importance of maintaining your body by working with it naturally as opposed to treating it with medications.

Izzy believes the physical, mental and spiritual reward your body gives you when you take good care of it. Born and raised in Dallas, Izzy enjoys shooting a basketball or throwing a football at the park, cherishing the green grass, warm sun and fresh air. Izzy’s lifelong goal is buying land to grow her own fruits and vegetables and incorporate them in a healthier version of Mexican cuisine honoring her heritage while nourishing her body and soul.

Self Care Self Love Tip #5

As a busy mom of 3 and a chiropractor, I have created an easy bedtime ritual that is a habit now…and so is a great night’s sleep.

So, asking a personal question: How do you prep for a great night’s sleep?

Here are some of my ideas:

Reading a light book or magazine
Stick to a consistent bedtime
Sipping on a cup of herbal tea
Gentle stretches
Writing about your day: for example, what were the positives?
Aromatherapy

And if you have kids, teach them and include them in it too.

Who or what do you sleep with?
HOPEFULLY NOT YOUR PHONE.

If you use your phone for apps to sleep or as an alarm, your body will never know when to shut down. Plus there is research stating that the electromagnetic or radio frequency radiation is not good for our bodies and brains, long-term.

If you use your phone for an alarm, get an old-school battery operated alarm clock. Take an afternoon to learn meditation and breathing techniques to replace the apps on your phone. You are worth it.

What is your ‘go to’ for falling asleep?

Or, what have you tried so far that hasn’t worked long-term?

Here is an alternative choice to consider:

CBD and Mg+ are better alternatives than melatonin or prescribed sleeping aids that your body becomes tolerant of and needs more to work.

I personally use an awesome ice cap, eye masks and diffusers.
