Finally! It’s Spring!
We have our eye on springtime don’t we?
In clinic I’ve been discussing the transition from winter to spring from a TCM perspective. Spring is a time of growth and cultivation. The days are longer and we have more energy for exercise and creativity.
Just as we see all the flowers and plants sprouting and growing we must also welcome growth and change.
Spring is related to the wood and liver elements. The liver energy is meant to flow freely. If there is an imbalance with the liver energy we tend to feel irrational and short-tempered.
If this rings true - work on spending time connecting with nature. Try easy things like breathing fresh air or putting your hands in the soil of a new flower bed.
DM me if you have questions in relation to how our bodies respond to the new season!🌱 ❤️ 🌱

The Health Collective’s fabulous Dee Dee Frye will provide you with ear seeds before your physical practice, followed by a relaxing savasana with optional needling.
Ear seeds are small seeds attached to an adhesive that are used to stimulate pressure points in the ear. They’re a type of auriculothrerapy, which refers to acupressure or acupuncture that is focused on the ear.
They’re based on the same general principles as acupuncture. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), your health depends on the flow of Qi (energy) in your body. Ear seeds, like yoga and acupuncture are a great way to promote the free flow of Qi.
Come learn more about ear seeds, acupuncture, and Chinese Medicine with DeeDee Frye, MAOM, LAc.

For DeeDee Frye, using an integrated approach to achieving wellness is not only part of her profession, but also her life. As her struggle with infertility was unsuccessful with conventional approaches; it was the integration of acupuncture that led to success. Traditional Chinese Medicine, with its focus on treating the root of the ailment, became her gauge for wellness.
DeeDee Frye earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, in Houston, Texas. Her degree entailed four years of study, and 3000 hours of formal education. She is also a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (which includes acupuncture and Chinese herbs) from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has also completed continuing education in the areas of cosmetic acupuncture, weight loss, and fertility. She has a personal interest in helping couples with fertility challenges, and women’s health concerns, sleep issues, and stress management.
DeeDee has been married to her husband for twenty- one years and they have an eleven-year-old son.
