No one likes to talk about colorectal cancer. But if you’re 45 or older, experts recommend that you get regular screenings. Start with these screening guidelines from Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare – our larger health network.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States (excluding skin cancers), according to the American Cancer Society. In its early stages, colorectal cancer often has no symptoms – that’s why screening is so important. Talk to your doctor about which screening test is right for you.

To make testing convenient, the U.S. government is once again offering free at-home COVID-19 rapid tests. Each U.S. household can now place an order to receive four tests, which will ship directly to homes. Test results are available within 30 minutes, and no lab drop-off is required.
To place your order, visit https://bit.ly/3N6JGvY

Why did readers of DFWChild Magazine choose three Medical City Healthcare hospitals as Best Hospital to Have a Baby in 2023? Nicole, a first-time mom, suffered the life-threatening effects of an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) during her delivery and required emergency surgery, a massive transfusion of 30 units of blood, ICU care for her and neonatal intensive care for daughter Gentry at Medical City Lewisville’s Level III NICU.
Nicole and husband Devon are grateful for the skilled, compassionate physician and staff who cared for them.
“We were only here, eight days, nine days, and it felt like we got so close with them so fast,” Nicole says. “It was the best experience for the worst experience of our life.”
