I’ve been thinking of what I could possibly say to celebrate our 1 year anniversary for weeks. Many of those know that this journey didn’t start just a year ago. It started as a little girl growing up in Oak Cliff, one who was cultivated and cared for at West Mesquite High school, but also learned of the real world while living in Pleasant Grove.
Now, I’m blessed to have this growing practice where I call home, the Lake Highlands/Lakewood area.
From the time I entered my graduate program at Texas Women’s University almost 13 years ago, I held on to the dream of one day owning a practice. I didn’t know when it would happen, but over the years I became acutely in tune with what I wanted it to FEEL like. I knew I wanted a practice that welcomed ALL, treated patients with respect, and empowered them to be their own advocate when making healthcare decisions as a team. I wanted to lead with compassion, integrity, and care. And I wanted patients to know that was and is the goal each time we interact.
Two years ago, I encountered a situation that shook me to my core while being employed elsewhere. And while that forever changed me, little did I know it would become the catalyst in building this practice. Last year I decided to take a leap of faith. I bet on my experience, education, and support. And I suppose most importantly of all, I bet on myself.
Some say, if you build it, they will come. Well, I’ve been building it for the twenty years I’ve been in healthcare. Maybe it took this leap of faith to realize that.
Over the last year, I have leaned on those around me. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I’ve received. I am so humbled and thankful for each and every one of you. I am so grateful to the patients that continue to trust me to care for them.
I know this is only the beginning. Thank you for walking along side me in this journey.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! As we move into the winter months, remember that we have same-day appointments to meet your needs. Feel free to call us at 469-384-7781 or you can conveniently book online!!
Starting January 1st, we will enforce the cancellation/no-show policy. This policy is in the new patient paperwork, but I have included it below.
If you need medication refills, we ask that you call the pharmacy to request these and they will send an electronic request to the office. Please allow up to 72 hours for these requests to be approved. If an appointment is necessary, the receptionist will call you to schedule.
