📰 August Newsletter: The use of Bronze in Monument Making

At Worthington Monuments, we believe in using materials that stand the test of time—and bronze is truly timeless. 🌿✨

Known as the “Eternal Metal,” bronze is an alloy that resists decay, develops a beautiful natural patina, and can be polished back to its original shine even after thousands of years. 🌍🔩

From ancient wonders like the Colossus of Rhodes to modern memorials that honor your loved ones, bronze represents strength, dignity, and permanence.

When you choose bronze, you’re choosing a legacy that lasts. 💛

📰 July Newsletter: A Monument is Only as Strong as Its Foundation

At Worthington Monuments, we know that what lies beneath is just as important as what stands above. Each memorial we create is supported by a foundation designed to last for generations—because we believe that strength, beauty, and longevity all begin at the base.

This principle is ancient. Over 4,500 years ago, the builders of the Great Pyramids of Giza knew the value of a solid foundation. With over two million massive stone blocks resting atop carefully constructed bases spanning thirteen acres, these wonders still stand west of Cairo today. Their endurance is no accident—it was built from the ground up.

As you reflect this July on heritage, freedom, and the legacy of your loved ones, we invite you to remember: A strong foundation supports not only a monument, but the memory it carries.

Whether you’re just beginning your memorial journey or finalizing plans, our team is here with expert guidance and enduring craftsmanship.

🗞️ June Newsletter Highlight: Monuments of Metal 🏛️✨

When we think of ancient monuments, towering stone structures often come to mind—but metal, especially bronze, played a powerful role too. 💪🛠️

One of history’s most legendary examples? The Colossus of Rhodes—a 120-foot-tall bronze statue of the sun god Apollo, built around 280 B.C. to guard the harbor of Rhodes. 🌞⚓

Though it stood for only 50 years before an earthquake brought it down, its legacy lived on. The fallen pieces remained untouched for centuries before being sold off as scrap, their fate scattered across the Mediterranean. 🌊

Today, the Colossus reminds us not only of ancient innovation but also of the enduring artistry of metalwork in monuments.
