I need nature. I don’t just want it. I need it as much as I need blood and oxygen. Nature is the way that the universe whispers to us, “You are part of something beautiful.” That whisper brought me a new friend. His name is Buzzy. We are on our first trip together. He is a humble teardrop camper light enough to follow behind my small SUV. Buzzy feels the same way about nature that I do. It’s like we’ve always known each other even though we just met.

A dad can brag… Every now and then. My son landed in Lithuania this morning to work for two weeks at an organic ecovillage, and my daughter is blazing her own beautiful trail at the university and out in the trails.

We Ride at Dawn
I dreamed so high then split the skies with sharpened alibis. A shadow cast - out on the vast - and not a single road was dry. My soul ignored the pouring rain and dove into the flood. Then out I climbed, more wise and worn, new fire in my blood.
