Depression is one of those things people don’t fully understand until they’ve lived it. From the outside, it can look like: “Just get out of bed.” “Just push through.” “Just keep going.” Anyone who’s experienced it though knows it’s rarely that simple.
Sometimes it feels more like quicksand. The harder you try to force yourself out of it, the more exhausted, frustrated, and defeated you become. And honestly? That doesn’t mean you’re weak. It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It usually means you don’t have the right tools yet. That’s one of the biggest misconceptions about mental health. We assume we should naturally know how to navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or burnout simply because we’re experiencing them. But most of us were never actually taught how.
Therapy can help give language to what you’re feeling, tools to work through it, and support while you figure out what healing actually looks like for you.You are not broken because you’re struggling, and you are definitely not alone. We're here to help. Link in bio.
