You’re invited to join us for a fun day of exercise and wellness. The Hexter Howl 5k and1k Fun Run will be run on October 27th. Following the fun run is the school carnival. “The Hexter Howl” Carnival is an East Dallas fall family tradition with over game booths, bounce houses, giant slides, rock wall tower, music, great tasting food, plus much more! The Hexter Howl Race and Carnival is one of the year’s biggest fundraisers for the school. Hexter Elementary is a top elementary school in DISD, having received an exemplary rating 5 years in a row and also a Blue-ribbon school for 2009. Proceeds from this event go to support the school’s various literacy programs, which all students benefit from throughout the year. The run, which will be timed with timing chips, promotes the importance of fitness within the school and community. With the Hexter Howl Fun Run, we hope to create a lasting tradition of wellness with the students, faculty, parents and supporting neighborhood while benefiting Hexter’s literacy programs.
