What does your morning routine look like? Are you hitting that snooze button so many times that you end up late or are you a get and enjoy your morning routine kind of person? How often does how your morning starts affect the rest of you day?

This “Miracle Morning” method was created by Hal Elrod. The best part of this method is that you don't have to spend a ton of time on each of the 6 categories, it can literally be one minute in each (6 minutes total). Give this a try and see what a difference it can make when you take the time to start your day with this method. #youreworthit #miraclemorning

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month.

Tens of thousands of families across the United States are devastated each year by the death of their baby. But the grief of these families and the value of their babies’ lives are very rarely acknowledged. In 1988, US President Ronald Reagan declared October as a month to recognize the unique grief of bereaved parents in an effort to demonstrate support to the many families who have suffered such a tragic loss. Promoting awareness of pregnancy and infant loss not only increases the likelihood that grieving families will receive understanding and support, but also results in improved education and prevention efforts. #weremember

We can try to prepare for everything in life, good and bad, however once it actually happens is when you will know how it actually is and what you feel. Thanks Ajana Therapy & Clinical Services for these words of wisdom. #repost

How many of y'all spend your free time preparing yourself for the situations that get you out of your comfort zone? It is natural for us as human beings to plan for our physical and emotional safety. We're wired to protect ourselves at all times. We often use this preparation to avoid and escape difficult emotions like sadness, grief, anxiety, vulnerability, or loneliness. This provides a temporary fix that may give us a sense of control or relief. Nevertheless, we eventually feel what we are avoiding. So on this #TransformationTuesday, let's give ourselves space to feel through our changes.

I do this thing where I try to prepare myself for an upcoming change that I know is going to hurt really bad.

I play the tape out in my mind and decide exactly what I’m going to do.

I try to figure it out before it happens. I try to feel the emotions and just get the whole thing over with.

I’ve convinced myself it won’t hurt as bad this way.

It still hurts. Every. single. time.

I’m usually upset when it does and wonder why I didn’t “prepare” myself more.

You can make plans and accept what is happening in this moment, but you can’t plan or imagine your way out of emotional pain.

You can’t experience it on this surface level and hope that it doesn’t hurt when it happens.

Even if you “knew this was coming,” you’re still going to feel something. The only way out of the pain is through it.
