ELOTD 6th year students took a deeper dive into life and occupational balance this week in Dr. Cheryl Jayne’s Advanced Occupational Science class.

They learned about some of the theoretical constructs related to occupational balance, assessed their own life balance and engaged in an art activity using sea glass to create a visual representation of life balance. 🌊

It’s only the first week of classes but our MUOT students are already engaged in hands-on learning. 🏫

Juniors in Dr. Arianna Belles’s Functional Anatomy class learned all about anatomical planes and axes of movement (yes, axes is the plural of axis) by dissecting and reassembling Sour Patch Kids. 🍬

We love creative learning in OT and this is a great example! 💙💛

Welcome back MUOT! 💙💛 The OT faculty are so excited to welcome our current and new student to campus this week.

In addition, it’s our ELOTD Class of 2026’s last first day of school. These 15 students will spend the next three semester designing, refining and implementing their capstone project. We are so excited to see the impact they will all have on the community.

With their specialized knowledge in sensory processing and environmental assessments, occupational therapists are adept at consulting on the design and implementation of sensory-friendly events. This summer, Dr. Lori Charney and Dr. Orley Templeton have collaborated with the NEPA Philharmonic and other community partners to create a sensory-friendly concert, which will be held on September 13 at the Pittston Library. We encourage you to share this information with those who may be interested in attending this free event.

The MUOT Department is proud to present the newest Doctors of Occupational Therapy! 💙💛

These 25 amazing students successfully presented their capstones at the Inaugural ELOTD Doctoral Capstone Conclave. Prior to presenting their work, the graduates were honored in a ceremony with family and friends where they were called doctor in a public forum for the very first time.
