E&E is looking for a part-time direct care support position for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community &/or in their home. Job duties include assisting with daily living skills, meal prep, transportation (as needed), as well as any other task that relates to assisting someone. We are looking for caretakers that want to assist individuals with achieving their goals, meet new challenges, and encourage and support them to lead an independent life.

Schedule:
Monday- Friday- 20-29 hours (flexible)
Weekend also available (flexible).

Pay:
$12.50/hour

Desired Qualifications:
* 1 year of experience
* High school degree
* CPR Training, First Aid Training
* Housecleaning, Errands/Shopping, Short Distance Transportation, Laundry, Meal Preparation

Required Qualifications:
*Ability to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
*Valid driver's license.
*Valid auto insurance.
*Strong communication skills.
*Patience and caring attitude.

E&E had the opportunity to visit the recently renovated Beyond Tomorrow Day Program.

Beyond Tomorrow offers programs to develop self-help skills, daily-living skills, social and community skills, communication and cognitive skills & prevocational skills.

Beyond Tomorrow's mission is to provide opportunities for adults with significant educational needs to participate in community activities and vocational experiences to increase self-esteem and self-worth.

Beyond Tomorrow believes that everyone's life has value and can be a positive influence in our world.

We started our day off with a presentation from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry (thank you ), followed by lunch at Mama’s Pizza, and, to end the day, we got creative & did some painting. Thank you to our Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas volunteers as well!
