From Setback to Comeback 💪❤️

When Jackie Surell first came to Terrell Healthcare Center, she had suffered a stroke that caused her to lose strength in both her upper and lower body. This led to poor balance and increased falls.

But through determination, faith, and the power of rehab, look at her now! 🙌

Jackie is now walking and transferring with minimal assistance — and doing it with confidence! 👏✨

Even more special? The cheers and encouragement from her fellow residents as she took those steps. That’s what family looks like. ❤️

We are so proud of Jackie and our incredible therapy team who work every day to help our residents regain strength, independence, and hope.

As part of one of our long-term residents’ personalized care plan, our team transformed his room into a peaceful, sky-themed retreat with soft blue walls and hand-painted clouds. Paired with his favorite shows playing, this environment supports his need for familiarity, structure, and a soothing atmosphere.
