Our 2026 Art of Caring for Others Gala at Dallas Country Club was truly unforgettable. We are so grateful to our incredible Honorary Chairs, Dr. David & Renee Winter, and to our amazing guest speakers Monica Paul and Dan Hunt for such an engaging and meaningful evening.

Because of the generosity in that room, the funds raised will help sustain Christ’s Family Clinic for the next TWO years 🙌❤️

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and continues to stand with us in caring for others. We couldn’t do this without you!💙

❤️ Heart of Caring Award – Honoring Joyce Cooley ❤️

At our 2026 Gala, we had the privilege of awarding our *Heart of Caring for Others Award*—given every two years to a volunteer who truly embodies service—to the late **Joyce Cooley**.

Joyce was a beloved member of the Christ’s Family Clinic family, known for her kindness, humility, and ever-present smile. Whether greeting guests at registration or simply making others feel welcome, she lived out our mission in the most genuine way.

In a moment that continues to inspire us, Joyce attended our final event in March 2024 despite serious illness—choosing to show up, serve, and care for others one more time. 💛

Her legacy of faith, compassion, and quiet strength will be felt at the Clinic for years to come.

We were honored to have her son, Clay Cooley, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Cooley, accept this award on her behalf.

They shared an engaging discussion about the exciting impact the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 will have on the Dallas community—bringing global attention, economic growth, and incredible energy to our city. 🌎✨

The conversation was expertly moderated by our distinguished board member Calvert Collins-Bratton, making for a lively and insightful discussion. 🎤

We are so grateful to Monica and Dan for taking time out of an incredibly busy season to support Christ’s Family Clinic and help shine a light on our mission. ❤️

🎨 Where It All Began
A fully commissioned legacy piece created from a child’s original artwork — carefully curated, layered, and preserved beneath a luminous resin finish. This heirloom masterpiece transforms precious childhood creativity into a museum-quality statement designed to last for generations. 💛

🤍 Inner Stillness
An original longhorn skull, hand-embellished with intricate mandala detailing in ink. A stunning sculptural work that represents balance, peace, and reflection — both grounding and ethereal.

Both pieces are singular originals — impossible to duplicate and deeply meaningful.

We are so grateful to Bri for sharing her extraordinary talent in support of Christ’s Family Clinic. 💙

Founded in 1989 by the late Dr. Charles Robert Smith — a dedicated Dallas pediatrician and health care leader — the Foundation has long supported higher education, medical education, research, and health initiatives in our community. 🏥📚

We are thrilled to share that two incredibly talented young pianists, Kaitlyn Ouyang and Lucas Pei, will be performing at this year’s Gala! 🎹✨

Both students have earned top honors at state and national competitions, performed as concerto soloists, and represent some of the very best young musical talent in Dallas. We are so grateful they will be sharing their gifts in support of our mission.

It’s going to be a beautiful and inspiring evening — you won’t want to miss it! 💙

We’re excited to feature oil painter Brittany Soucy at our Art of Caring Dinner & Art Auction. Based on the seacoast of New Hampshire, Brittany is known for her loose, energetic landscapes and abstract works inspired by light and nature.

She believes art-making is an act of self-care and a powerful source of healing—and we’re grateful for her generosity in supporting Christ’s Family Clinic. 💙

✨ Artist Spotlight: Angela Mia De la Vega ✨

We are honored to feature internationally acclaimed sculptor Angela Mia De la Vega at our Art of Caring Dinner & Art Auction. Her figurative bronze sculptures are known for uplifting the human spirit through expressive faces and movement, inspiring deep emotion and connection.

Recognized as a Living Master by the Art Renewal Center, Angela’s work is collected and displayed around the world. Beyond her art, she co-founded FLITE, a nonprofit using artistic expression to empower vulnerable individuals.

We are grateful for her generosity in supporting Christ’s Family Clinic.

🎨 Artist Spotlight: Natalie Day Wills 🎨
We’re thrilled to feature Dallas-based artist Natalie Day Wills at our upcoming Art of Caring Dinner & Art Auction!

A TCU graduate and freelance graphic designer for several local nonprofits, Natalie creates expressive artwork inspired by everyday moments from her home studio.

In support of Christ’s Family Clinic, she has generously donated limited-edition framed giclée prints along with a piece from her Alcohol Ink Collection, featuring coordinating coasters, a matching dish, and framed artwork.

We are honored to feature Dallas-based photographer David Rubin at our upcoming Art of Caring Dinner & Art Auction!

David describes his work as “life captures”—moving beyond posed portraits to reveal authentic, fleeting moments filled with personality and emotion. His work has been exhibited in Dallas, San Antonio, Paris, and beyond, with pieces held in collections across the U.S. and internationally.

A recipient of 1st Prize for Street Photography in Dallas, David’s career has taken him around the world—including New York, where he served as personal photographer for Joe Dallesandro of the Andy Warhol Studio and Jane Birkin.
