We are excited to announce Philip Hensarling has joined the Lighthouse team as our Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Lighthouse, Philip worked in the Addiction Treatment field in roles ranging from Admissions and Corporate Director of Utilization Management. Philip specializes in operations, finance, and insurance contracting and negotiations. His goal is to make quality treatment more accessible to those suffering from the disease of addiction. We are excited to announce the addition of Crete Gallagher to the Lighthouse Team! Crete will be joining us in January as the Director of National Outreach. In this position, Crete ensures that Lighthouse is appropriately marketed to individuals and families nationwide. Since 2018 he has filled the role of line staff, lead staff, admissions counselor, and Director of Outreach for various treatment programs, most recently at Wingate Wilderness. Crete is very passionate about helping individuals and families find quality care that will change their lives, and as a result, joined the Lighthouse team.

We are excited to welcome Sean Surber to the Clinical team at Lighthouse! Sean earned his Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe. Additionally, Sean holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and a Bachelor’s of Social Work degree from Harding University. A large majority of Sean’s experience with therapy has been working with individuals struggling with substance abuse in a residential treatment setting. Sean works from a systemic framework and has proven experience working with individuals, couples, and families.

We are excited to welcome Jose Torres to the Clinical team at Lighthouse! Jose (Joe) Torres has devoted his 23-year career in the human services field to improving the lives of adolescents, adults, and families. Drawing upon personal experiences and diverse knowledge, he effectively applies treatment principles in individual and group counseling settings to challenge and reshape clients’ thinking errors and transform their attitudes toward the use of illicit substances. A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor since 2008, Mr. Torres actively promotes the benefits of a drug-free lifestyle, serving as a lecturer for a national for-purpose organization called Back on My Feet and participating in speaking engagements at several elementary and middle schools in the Dallas area.

Her most recent role was the Program Manager for a nonresidential program at a local nonprofit. For the last 5 years, Stephanie has accumulated a skill set that includes direct client care, staff management, group facilitation, and curriculum development. Stephanie is passionate about helping others receive the best possible treatment available to them, which is why she is so grateful to be a part of the Lighthouse team!

Team Member Spotlight: Dr. Brooke Keels, Clinical Director, Ph.D, LPC-MHSP, LPC-S.

Dr. Keels works to create, implement, and oversee the group, individual, and family Clinical Programs at Lighthouse. She has worked in the recovery industry in a professional capacity for over 15 years in a variety of roles and brings an empathetic and caring approach to all those she works with.

Question and Answer:

What inspired you to choose this profession?
"I chose this profession because I have seen first-hand the devastating effects of addiction both personally and professionally. Since working in this field over the last several years, I have also seen individuals and families find healing and reconciliation. Though this field is very demanding, and the stakes are high, I have found no greater honor than walking alongside an individual and their family as they fight for freedom and recovery."

Why do you work at Lighthouse?
"I believe in Lighthouse. I have had a strong professional career, but Lighthouse stands out as the most ethical, honest, and intentional group of people that I have ever worked with. Program Spotlight: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Building upon the successes we've seen in our IOP program, we've recently launched a PHP track for those in need of a higher level of care. This program (like IOP) is offered alongside other services, such as Sober Living, or as a separate track, depending on the individual's history and needs. For specific individuals, PHP (and then IOP) is attended while in Sober Living as part of the "Lighthouse Extended Care Program."

- Individualized, custom-built, and holistic curriculum utilizing a host of therapies
- Separate groups and separate curriculum from IOP and SOP/OP
- Maximum of 8 persons per group
- Each client is matched with a Recovery Coach who can provide support outside of clinical programming by setting goals, building engagement in outside recovery groups, and creating accountability
