Drinking at a young age isn't just risky, it can have serious long-term consequences.

We all have a role to play in preventing youth substance use. 💬 Let’s start the conversation, raise awareness, and support our kids in making healthy choices. 💙

Our staff had an incredible time partnering with Casey's Place, where healing, hope, and growth come to life through animal-assisted activities and mentorship. 💛✨

From making slime to crafting bracelets, we loved helping campers express their creativity and build confidence in a space that celebrates every child’s unique worth. 🙌

Celebrate the 4th of July Safely!

The Fourth of July should be a time for joy, not tragedy. According to the NHTSA, 617 lives were lost in traffic crashes during 2023’s July 4th holiday period- 38% due to drunk driving.

Let’s come together as a community to help prevent impaired driving and keep everyone safe:

💡 Safety Tips for a Safer Holiday:
🚘 Plan ahead: Arrange a sober ride before the celebrations begin.
🧠 One drink is too many: A sober driver means no alcohol at all.
🥤 Hosting a gathering? Offer non-alcoholic options for designated drivers.
🛑 Worried about a friend driving impaired? Step in, take their keys and help them get home safely.
📱 See a drunk driver? Pull over safely and call 911.
🔒 And always wear your seat belt.

Let’s watch out for one another and celebrate responsibly. ❤️🤝

Our Story

The Region 3 Prevention Resource Center (PRC) is one of 11 Centers in the State of Texas that conducts activities aimed at improving substance abuse prevention strategies in our community. Focusing on alcohol (specifically underage drinking), ma*****na and prescription drugs, the PRC serves as a central data collection repository. The PRC encourages school districts in North Central Texas to administer the Texas School Survey, conducted by the Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute. This survey provides local data and enhances our ability to make data-driven decisions when planning substance abuse prevention strategies. The PRC also identifies regional training needs and resources, and coordinates substance abuse prevention training opportunities for local community, county, and state organizations. For more information visit www.prc3.org.
