Red Ribbon Week 2025 Recap!

What an incredible week celebrating healthy choices and a drug-free lifestyle! 🌟 We were proud to serve over 20 schools across the DFW metroplex, empowering students to make positive decisions and live their best lives. 💪❤️

This year’s theme, “Life is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free” reminded us that every healthy choice helps complete the picture of a bright future!

Thank you to all the schools, teachers, and students who joined us in spreading the message: Be kind to your mind and stay drug free! 🙌✨

You’ve heard of secondhand smoke, but have you heard of thirdhand smoke? Vapes may seem "cleaner," but they still release harmful chemicals that settle and linger long after the aerosol disappears. Kids and pets are especially at risk as they crawl and touch contaminated surfaces.

Those treats may not be what they seem 👀
This Halloween, be extra cautious with edible cannabis products that look like regular candy or snacks.
Kids (and even pets!) can’t tell the difference — and accidental ingestion can lead to serious illness.

🎃 Keep edibles:
✅ Out of sight and reach
✅ In child-resistant containers
✅ Clearly labeled and separate from real treats

If someone eats an edible by mistake, call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.

Our Story

The Region 3 Prevention Resource Center (PRC) is one of 11 Centers in the State of Texas that conducts activities aimed at improving substance abuse prevention strategies in our community. Focusing on alcohol (specifically underage drinking), ma*****na and prescription drugs, the PRC serves as a central data collection repository. The PRC encourages school districts in North Central Texas to administer the Texas School Survey, conducted by the Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute. This survey provides local data and enhances our ability to make data-driven decisions when planning substance abuse prevention strategies. The PRC also identifies regional training needs and resources, and coordinates substance abuse prevention training opportunities for local community, county, and state organizations. For more information visit www.prc3.org.
