Screens are everywhere, but how do you balance them with your teen? 📱 Keeping entertainment screen time to 2 hours or less daily can boost focus, improve sleep, and lift mood! Try these tips for older teens:
🌟 Set shared goals—agree on a 2-hour limit for gaming or social media to encourage teamwork.
🌟 Swap screens for activities—suggest a hobby like drawing or sports to spark creativity.
🌟 Create tech-free zones—make meals or hangouts screen-free to foster connection.

Meet Dr. Susan Sugerman, co-founder of Girls to Women Health and Wellness!
"Oh the stories I could tell about my own adolescence (I think we all could...)! It's a time of so much change and wonder, of minor trials and extreme challenges. I feel so very grateful to those who helped me through it when I was that age. Being in the position now to help young people along their own journeys toward healthy adulthood is, for me, both a privilege and a payback. And I am thankful every day for what my patients teach me and for the opportunity to be part of their lives.

I couldn't imagine a better place to do this work than with my colleagues at Girls to Women and Young Men's Health and Wellness. I love that we have been able to create a space that feels safe and comfortable for adolescents, young adults, and their families. Being able to "curbside" consult with other quality professionals like therapists, dietitians, and diagnosticians leads to real-time insights that allow us to quickly respond to complex problems and proactively promote good outcomes for our mutual patients. Our staff and management team are awesome and help make GTW/YM Dallas my home away from home."

FUN FACT: Dr. Sugerman loves to knit! 🧶
