We want all our youth to have a happy and healthy summer! We’ve had a lot of questions recently and just wanted to clear up some confusion about COVID boosters. Stay safe and have fun!
· COVID-19 vaccine boosters can further enhance or restore protection that might have waned over time after your primary series vaccination.
· People are protected best from severe COVID-19 illness when they stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines, which includes a booster for many people.
· CDC recommends that everyone ages 5 years and older get their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine, and everyone ages 12 years and older also receive a booster.

Dear GTW/YM Health and Wellness family,
As we continue to adjust to our new normal, we just want to take a moment to remind you that we are still open 5 days a week and available to meet all your healthcare needs. Your safety (and the safety of our staff) remains our top priority. At this time, we are not allowing anyone with known COVID-19 exposure into our office (in-car screening), and anyone with respiratory symptoms is being screened before being allowed into the building. Once screening has been completed, patients are escorted directly to the exam room where they will interact with one medical assistant and one medical provider.
We are here for all of your other needs as well. If you are not sure whether or not you need to come in for an in-person appointment, just call or send a portal message! While all providers are available via telehealth, some concerns still need an old-fashioned, in-person appointment. We will accommodate you as best as we can. Please know that we’ve done our best to keep the office environment safe and COVID-19 free.
We are all in this together; thanks for your continued support!
We are currently experiencing trouble with our phone system and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are a patient and need to reach our office please send us a message via your secure patient portal. Thank you.

Did you know that last month was Men's Health Month?

This month gives health care providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury."

Check out this timely post from Dr. Kelly Jameson on managing family members with anxiety during the holidays!

・・・
I’ve been working with many people over the last few weeks about social anxiety & the holidays. Many people report seeing family (they don’t normally see) induces more anxiety than anything else this season. If you have anxiety, practice your strategies. If you DON’T have anxiety, please refrain from giving kids, teens and adults a hard time if they need to take a break from the group for 20-30 minutes.
For today’s Therapist Thursday spotlight, we have Dr. Kelly Jameson!
“My favorite aspect about this place is the energy. It’s constantly buzzing with young people and professionals who collaborate all for the good of our patients. Honestly, each day I leave feeling good about the work we do together here.”
Fun fact: Kelly has to refrain from buying every Christmas coffee mug that she sees in the store! They bring her too much joy!
Looking for a great Hanukkah gift or Christmas stocking stuffer? Well look no further because GTW/YM is selling Relax Pax! Pax is Latin for “peace” which is what these de-stress kits aim to bring! These kits can conveniently be placed in a backpack, purse, gym bag, etc. and they contain useful de-stressing items like bubbles, a stress ball, a tea bag, essential oil, an eye mask, ear plugs, and an affirmation bag! You can purchase these packs at the price of $8 from the Dallas office and ALL proceeds go towards Volunteer Adolescents Serving Together (VAST) so that they can continue funding useful volunteer programs!
