We are so thrilled to welcome Summer Collins to our team! Many of our therapists have known her for years and are grateful she has joined with us. She is a skilled clinician and wonderful human-read below to find out more about Summer!

** I grew up in East Texas and made my way to Dallas in 2012. I received my Bachelors in Psychology & History from Ouachita Baptist University and am a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary’s Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas.
** I’ve worked in private practice settings working closely with women experiencing trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, Perinatal Mental Health conditions, family of origin concerns, and self-esteem issues like shame and unworthiness.
** I believe that you have intrinsic value as well as God-given worth and deserve to be treated with dignity and care. Journeying alongside others through their difficulties, as well as having navigated through my own, gives me the opportunity to provide hope and comfort and to be a safe place to you as you navigate through the hardships you’re experiencing.
** Though you are hurting, there is hope for healing. Pursuing counseling is a courageous act and I would be honored to walk alongside you, because you matter.
** Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, as well as my friends and neighbors. I also enjoy exercising, reading a good book and being a chauffeur for many children’s activities (soccer mom!)

We are so excited to welcome Samantha Strother, LPC! Read below to learn more about our new team member!

Hi, nice to meet you 🤍
I’m Samantha—an LPC in Texas with a love for neuroscience, story-telling, meaningful connection, and helping people live more aligned, value-driven lives.

I believe mental health is about dedicating ourselves to reality with curiosity instead of shame. In therapy, we make room for the hard stuff while also celebrating growth, flexibility, and the moments when things start to feel lighter.

I work with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, boundaries, attachment wounds, and performance-related stress—using approaches like ACT, CBT, and EMDR.

If you’re considering counseling, I see the courage it takes. I’m here when you’re ready ✨

We are so excited about Lea Anne Turner’s new Bible study, Made To Relate, which is now available on Amazon! She has written a study for young adults as well as one for middle schoolers.

Lea Anne says, “One of the many privileges of being a counselor is being on the journey with college students and young professionals as they navigate relationships. This past year it has been my joy to get to write a Bible study to help students and young adults live out their faith in friendships and dating. I would love for it to be a resource for families as well!”

Check this new study out on Amazon! We are so grateful for Lea Anne and for this resource!

Some members of our team were privileged to spend time learning from Dan Allender last night!

Kristen and Jennifer enjoyed the humor, knowledge and experience that Allender and his wife shared with the group.

Kristen shared, “They were so gifted at communicating to help people understand root level problems through theological and psychological lenses.”

We are so blessed to live in a city where we are afforded so many opportunities to learn and to connect with others!

A dear friend shared this me this morning with the caption, “Look how beautiful the sky looks this morning! It’s going to be a great day!”

I felt an instant boost in my mood when I saw the beautiful picture. I reflected for a moment and was filled with gratitude for a friend who paused to notice the beauty right in front of her and shared it with me. The quick, encouraging message was the perfect start to the day. 💗

Look for ways to stop and notice what is right in front of you today. Take a deep breath and savor the moment. Life is made up of these individual moments that we might miss if we are not awake and aware.
