My love for Yoga started back when I was a senior in college. I was living each day with nagging back and shoulder pain, and trying many things to remedy it--especially medication--but nothing would make it go away so something had to give. I’d heard about how powerful Yoga was and decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you … it had me at downdog! It was then that I knew that I’d found the per
fect medication, and it didn’t involve any pain pills! I started sleeping better, my back and shoulder pain lessened with each day of practice, and I was approaching life with more intention by being grounded, compassionate, and calm. From that moment on, Yoga became a constant factor in my life, and it only took a few teacher-training courses before I knew what I was intended to do – Teach Yoga. In 2008, I completed my 500-hour teacher training and immediately began teaching hot Yoga classes. Once I got pregnant and experienced the benefit of continuing my Yoga practice, I decided to expand my knowledge and training and started my journey as a certified Pre- and Post- Natal Yoga instructor and Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator.
