Our staff at Lear Senior Care Services has served seniors in Dallas and Collin Counties for more than 17 years. Lear Senior Care Services is independently owned and operated by Amy Rutledge. Lear Senior Care Services offers the finest in Personal Assistance Care assuring you and your family that aging in place is a viable option. We are on hand to provide you and your family assistance and support so that you can enjoy a happy comfortable lifestyle in the privacy of your own home on your terms. Our services include flexible in-home care as well as care in facilities and hospitals. Service can be scheduled on an hourly basis with short or long term engagements as well as On-Call, use us as the need arises. We tailor our services to fit your needs and can adjust services as your needs change. Please call our office at 214-363-1001 to schedule an appointment. Our office hours are 9 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday but call 214-363-1001 after hours and you will reach a Lear Senior Care Services staff member who will be happy to help you.

Recently, I sat down to have lunch at a neighborhood sandwich shop. A couple came in and the man was wearing a cap indicating he was a decorated WWII veteran. He went to the counter to order lunch and the lady came and sat at a table next to me. She remarked about how cold it was outside which was a clue to me that she suffered from dementia as it was a really hot day.
She asked me if I was from Dallas and I asked her the same and she told me that she grew up in Dallas and came back here to live when her husband and she got out of the Army. She went on to say that they has met in Germany during WWII when he was one of her patients. She was an RN. I commented on how romantic that was and she said "Well yes if you call having someone vomit all over you the first time you meet." They had a whirl wind courtship and married in Europe. I asked her how long they had been married and she laughed and said "I can't remember" but her husband spoke up and said "for sixty-three wonderful years!"
It was an honor for me to sit and chat with these two wonderful people from the "Greatest Generation" who unselfish duty to our Country helped make America great and whose sacrifices set the bar for generations to come.
