Spring is a great time to focus on your eye health. In TCM, spring is associated with the Liver, which channels into the eyes.�⁠

If you experience blurry vision, dry eyes, eye irritations, redness, or itchy eyes, it could be a sign of poor Liver Qi flow.⁠

Since Liver blood nourishes and moistens the eyes, here are a few acupressure points you can stimulate to restore your eyes’ brightness and support their general health.⁠

👉 LI-4 (Hegu 合谷)⁠
👉 LV-3 (Taichong 太冲)⁠
👉 8 points around the eyes⁠

Stimulate each point for at least 30 seconds, and longer if needed. You can use the tip of your YINA Gua Sha tool or your fingers. Repeat 3-5x.⁠

I love introducing this service to patients for the first time and starting them down this wonderful path of self-care! 🎑It is almost always an existing patient who I’m treating for something else- pain, insomnia, sleep issues, digestive support, etc— and then they ask for more info on Cosmetic Acupuncture! Aka what I call the Acufacial! ✨🥰✨

An Acufacial consists of:
-face and body points
-infrared light panel
-either scalp guasha or facial wand massage(depends on the patient’s needs that day
-facial guasha can be added on for an additional fee and is complimentary with every six sessions of Cosmetic Acupuncture.

The end result: and RELAXATION! 🙌🏻✨✨And because I’m activating many smile muscles -you may just feel happier!

A series of Cosmetic Acupuncture sessions (12-24 )is recommended for best results. It tightens muscle and skin tone in the face, softens wrinkles, improves moisture and elasticity in the skin and gives an overall ‘lift’ to the face.

Plus- adding in an hour of deep relaxation to your week has so many other benefits to your body, mind and spirit!

The end of what feels like the longest, heaviest week…..especially since I’m a lifelong Texan. And a woman. And it is not only OK to talk about this, we NEED to talk about this. Expressing emotions and speaking out when we don’t feel honored or respected as humans is vital to our mental health and well-being.

No better time to give myself a magical unicorn, warrior princess mini-treatment.

It brought me peace and strength and filled up my resilience cup 🏆. Acupuncture has an incredible ability to be both grounding and energizing at the same time. 🙌🏻

It’s important to know the simple things that restore your mental strength , self-compassion and inner peace. And maybe make you feel a little ✨🦄🧝‍♀️✨ !

Right now I’m encouraging all my patients to focus on their sleep, write positive notes to themselves, stay hydrated ,and commit to Acupuncture sessions 1-4x month while experiencing mental and physical burnout symptoms.

Pro tip: An hour before you apply a facial mask-especially a detoxing clay and or charcoal combination- make sure you take a dose of your skin supporting nutrients and herbal formulas. The increased blood flow to the face will draw those supplements to the targeted area. ➡️🥰⬅️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

✅Fresh juice- Not a supplement, but listing anyway as fresh green veggie drinks(live enzymes) which supply detoxifying and oxygenating chlorophyll-with a little carrot added for that beta-carotene boost -are your skin’s best friend! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll leave the post-masking topical recommendations to my natural esthetician friends! (Though I personally LOVE misting with Mei Zen Astragalus and Geranium toner and following with a CBD infused moisturizer. 😉)

Appointment start times are- 3:00, 3:20, 3:45, 4:10, 4:30, 5:00, 5:25, 5:45

Sliding scale prices are:
Traditional Acupuncture $35-50
Cosmetic Acupuncture $45-60

A few pointers:
*These sessions will last approx 45 min each.
*If you are not an existing patient of Be Real Wellness, plan to arrive a few min early to fill out your paperwork.

*Email confirmations will be sent to all who book with e-payment protocols as well.

The basics—
* Please keep in mind due to the fact these are group sessions, any talking will be kept to a minimum and in hushed tones.
* Please wear short sleeve shirt and loose pants, shorts or a skirt to your session. We need to be able to access your arms and legs easily.
* Treatments will take place in zero gravity recliners spaced over 6 feet apart. Recliners will be disinfected between patients.

*The Acupuncturist will wear a mask, but masks are not required by patients who have been fully vaccinated.
*Covid informed consent forms will be required as part of the new patient paperwork.
