Southwest Acupuncture Clinic will be softly re-opening on June 1 with a modified schedule and many new safety procedures in place. I know some of these changes are not ideal, but these times are far from ideal and I have to roll with the punches. I am looking forward to seeing your faces (at least the top half of your faces) 😆
- All patients and staff are required to wear a face mask the entire time while in the clinic. This is incredibly important to protect you, us, and fellow patients.
- Patient volume has been significantly reduced to allow time for disinfection and increased social distancing
- Please wait in your car until your appointment time to avoid overlap in the waiting room
- Any persons accompanying you must wait outside the clinic (in the car or social distanced outside)
- All linens have been removed and replaced with disposable paper products for increased sanitation. If you usually prefer having a blanket, please byob(-lanket)
- All rooms and high touch surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected in between patients
- We are transitioning to contactless forms and payment methods
- While I love my patients and visiting with them, I have to keep face-to-face interaction to a minimum so we must try to limit conversation to medically relevant topics (temporarily!) :(
- Any new patient appointments for review of health history will be held virtually
- Please contact your biomedical care provider immediately if you have any of the following symptoms. Let us know as soon as possible and your appointment will be cancelled and the usual fee will be waived.
- new cough*, new shortness of breath*, fever or feel feverish, chills, new fatigue*, new sore throat*, new loss of taste or smell, new nasal congestion*, new muscle
aches not associated with exercise*, new diarrhea*
*cannot be attributed to another health condition
[04/27/20] The clinic will remained closed until June 1. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again in a few weeks!
[04/04/20] Our office will stay closed until April 30th (at the earliest) in accordance with the Dallas County ordinance to slow the spread of COVID-19. There is much debate circulating in terms of what is deemed an "essential healthcare provider". I know that acupuncturists have incredible value and play an important role in optimizing the health of their patients. In the context of COVID-19 however, we are not frontline workers, emergency medicine is not our skill set, and the most important thing that we can do is close our physical practices for the time being and eliminate any potential spread of the disease. I will be available via email for any questions that you may have and can do phone/facetime consultations. I miss all my patients and would love updates on how everyone is doing! Please reach out to me at [email protected]
