Mindfullness
I wanted to share highlights from an anxiety class I gave recently. As someone who’s battled anxiety and depression, I know how crucial mindful tools can be for finding stability and strength through the ups and downs.
Mindfulness isn't a magic wand, but through repetition, it can train the brain—through simple activities like body sensing and breathing exercises—to strengthen self-awareness and execution function. These skills allow us to more easily quiet anxious thoughts and navigate through emotional ups and downs.
By understanding our own anxiety signals, we empower ourselves to respond more consciously and support others along the way.
How do you recognize your own anxiety cues?
Welcome to a mini mindfulness practice designed to help you pause and reset throughout your day, especially during transitions between activities. This technique, called STOP, is an acronym for:
1. Stop what you're doing.
2. Take some deep breaths.
3. Observe what's happening (thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations).
4. Proceed in a way that supports you in the moment.
Here's how to practice STOP:
1. Stop and find a place to rest, either seated or standing.
2. Take deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth, at your own pace.
3. Observe what's happening within you - any thoughts, emotions, or bodily sensations. Simply notice them without trying to change or fix anything.
4. Proceed by considering what would support you right now. It could be a walk, gentle stretches, or continuing deep breathing.
Remember, you have the ability to respond rather than react to what's happening. Use this practice to pause, reset, and proceed in a way that supports you.
Thank you for pausing with me, and I look forward to our next mindfulness practice together.

Excited to share my recent interview with Kevin Alft, CEO of Action COACH Texas, where we discussed my journey with Mastermind and the valuable insights gained from launching this venture.
Leading Mastermind has been both a privilege and a challenge. It's been a journey of constant growth and learning, pushing me to expand my skills and mindset.
Through this experience, I've come to realize that success is within reach for anyone who is committed to their vision. When we align our actions with our passions, the obstacles begin to fade away, paving the way for meaningful achievements.
Here's to the highs and lows of entrepreneurship!
Mastermind CEO, Dorsey, sharing from the heart!
"At Mastermind, I've made it my personal mission to champion brain health and wellness in the workplace. Why? Because I've seen firsthand the impact of prioritizing mental well-being.
Let's break the silence – because when we fail to address mental health and brain health in the workplace, we miss out on an opportunity to increase both individual well-being and organizational success.
Headspace came out with a report that 50% of employees turn to their managers for mental health support, yet only 24% of managers are required to take mental health specific training. We need to give our employees the support they need to live happy, healthy work lives.
As a Type A personality, I've walked the path of ambition and felt the toll it can take on mental health. That's why I'm committed to making mindfulness and mental wellness accessible to all, even those who might initially resist the idea. 😂
Whether I'm speaking to companies or leading trainings, my goal remains the same: to empower individuals to embrace mindfulness as the cornerstone of their mental health journey. Because I know firsthand the transformative power of prioritizing self-care and well-being."

We all have mental health. When we fail to talk about it in the workplace we’re missing an opportunity to improve both performance and wellness.
Research indicates that the ability to be authentic and open at work is correlated with better employee performance, engagement, and retention, not to mention better overall well-being.
We are on a mission to make mindfulness and mental health accessible for all people. Our goal when speaking to companies or during trainings is to empower others to embrace mindfulness as the cornerstone of your mental health journey.
