There are so many ways to prepare your body for your big day 🤍
One of the most common concerns we hear about? Tearing.
First — it’s important to know that some degree of tearing during a vaginal birth is common and a natural part of the process. Your body is designed to stretch and adapt, and many tears are minor and heal well with proper care.
That said, there are ways to help support your body ahead of time. Perineal massage in the weeks leading up to birth may help improve flexibility of the tissue and reduce the likelihood of more significant tearing.
A few tips:
✨ start around 34–36 weeks
✨ use a clean oil or lubricant
✨ go slow and listen to your body
✨ consistency over perfection
As always, talk with your midwife about what’s right for you and she’ll answer any questions you may have! 🤍
