Feeling emotionally full?
Here’s a grounding exercise you can do anywhere:

5️⃣ things you can see
4️⃣ things you can touch
3️⃣ things you can hear
2️⃣ things you can smell
1️⃣ thing you can taste

Bonus: Pair it with slow, intentional breathing.
🧘‍♀️ Inhale 4 — hold 4 — exhale 4 — hold 4
Repeat 3x. That’s it.

Your body responds to small cues of safety.

Anxiety exists on a spectrum from normal to a clinical disorder. The gray area is "Almost Anxious" doesn't meet criteria for anxiety disorder, but it is in the area where it is no longer adaptive and impacts your enjoyment and/or productivity in life. Women tend to discount how the anxiety is impacting their life with statements such as "all women are anxious" or "of course I am anxious I am a mother". We are here to help you find healthy ways to manage these feelings.

Have you ever considered therapy as a tool to gain clarity? Therapy isn't just for distress!

1. Self-awareness: Therapy provides a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By delving into these aspects, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their motivations, and their patterns of thinking and behaving. This self-awareness can lead to increased clarity about one's values, goals, and desires.

2. Problem-solving: Therapists often provide practical tools and techniques to help individuals analyze situations, identify obstacles, and develop strategies for problem-solving. By breaking down complex issues into manageable parts and exploring potential solutions, therapy can enhance an individual's ability to approach challenges with clarity and focus.

3. Enhanced decision-making: Through therapy, individuals can clarify their values, priorities, and goals, which can lead to more informed and confident decision-making. By considering various perspectives, weighing options, and aligning decisions with their authentic self, individuals can make choices that resonate with their true needs and aspirations.

Overall, therapy serves as a supportive and empowering process that can foster self-discovery, emotional insight, and mental clarity, ultimately guiding individuals towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Did you know that quality sleep plays a crucial role in maintaining women's mental health and mood stability? Research shows that a lack of sleep can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and mood swings.

Improving your sleep hygiene can have a significant impact on your overall mindset and emotional well-being. Try incorporating a bedtime routine, limiting screen time before bed, and creating a comfortable sleep environment to enhance the quality of your sleep.

Prioritizing your sleep is essential for a healthier mindset and improved mood. Take care of yourself by getting the rest you need to feel your best.

Did you know that 10% of postpartum women develop anxiety, sometimes experiencing it alone and sometimes alongside postpartum depression?

Postpartum anxiety can appear as persistent worry and fear that severely disrupt the mother's functioning. Women frequently visit our office reporting symptoms such as excessive worry and racing thoughts, often centered around the baby's health and well-being.

It is important for new moms to understand that these issues are temporary and treatable. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don't hesitate to seek help. Your mental health is important.
