As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, here’s your reminder: your mental well-being isn’t just a once-a-year focus—it’s an every day, every minute, every second priority.

If you or someone you know is in need of support, please don’t hesitate to use the many resources available. Websites like PsychologyToday.com, GoodTherapy.org, and Zocdoc.com are national directories that can connect you with licensed mental health professionals in your area.

Also, remember that many employers offer free and confidential counseling services through your Employee Assistance Program (EAP). These services are often underutilized and can include 3, 10, even up to 30–40 sessions—fully covered by your employer. These sessions are completely confidential. Licensed therapists are legally and ethically bound to protect your personal health information.

Lastly, seeking support from a mental health professional does not mean you’re weak or that something is “wrong” with you. People reach out for countless reasons: navigating big life transitions, managing stress, handling relationship challenges, dealing with workplace dynamics, or simply learning new parenting or communication tools.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to help. My mission is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself.

🌍 Resiliency is not just a personal strength—it’s a workplace imperative.

As organizations continue to evolve, the ability of employees to adapt, recover, and thrive under pressure is more important than ever. Resilient teams foster healthier cultures, drive innovation, and support long-term well-being.

I’m honored to be part of an upcoming global panel discussion with some of the industry’s brightest minds, focused on employee well-being—reaching over 80,000 employees around the world. It’s an incredible opportunity to contribute to a conversation that has real impact. Andrew Shatte’

Stress and Creativity Don’t Mix — Here’s Why.

When you’re overwhelmed by work, your brain shifts into survival mode. Instead of innovating or problem-solving, your mental energy gets rerouted to managing perceived threats — like tight deadlines, overloaded schedules, or unclear expectations.

The result?
Creative thinking shuts down. You feel stuck, reactive, and burned out.

Here are 3 ways to reclaim your creativity under stress:
1. Micro-breaks = Macro-results: Take 5-minute breaks every hour. Step away from your screen, breathe deeply, and move your body. This resets your nervous system and boosts mental clarity.
2. Get it out of your head: Write down your to-dos or overwhelming thoughts. This frees up space in your working memory and reduces anxiety.
3. Set a creativity window: Block 30 minutes in your day when your energy is highest — no meetings, no emails, just space to think, brainstorm, or create.

Remember: Creativity needs space to breathe — not pressure to perform.
Protect your peace, and your ideas will follow.

Mental health conversations shouldn’t start in crisis—they should start in childhood.

The earlier we normalize talking about emotions, stress, and mental health, the better prepared our children will be to seek help when life gets hard.

Teaching kids that it’s okay to talk, feel, and ask for support lays the foundation for emotional resilience and healthy coping skills.

Let’s break the stigma before it begins.

6 Steps to Build a Resilient Team as a Leader

Resilience isn’t just a survival skill — it’s a growth strategy.

In business and in your career, challenges are inevitable: rejection, burnout, self-doubt, and unexpected detours. But it’s your ability to bounce back, to learn, adapt, and push forward, that sets you apart.

Resilient professionals don’t just recover… they evolve.

Want to grow in your career or business?
Start by building your resilience. That’s where transformation begins.

1. Foster Psychological Safety
Encourage open communication, where team members feel safe sharing ideas, challenges, and mistakes without fear of judgment. Resilience grows where people feel supported.
2. Model Resilience
Demonstrate how to handle setbacks, stress, and change with calm and adaptability. Your team will take cues from how you bounce back.
3. Normalize Challenges
Talk openly about obstacles as part of the growth process. Reinforce the idea that failure isn’t the opposite of success — it’s a step toward it.
4. Develop a Growth Mindset Culture
Encourage learning from setbacks and celebrate effort, not just outcomes. Teams that focus on progress and learning stay more resilient during tough times.
5. Invest in Skills and Support
Provide training in stress management, time prioritization, and emotional intelligence. Build capacity before crisis hits.
6. Celebrate Progress and Recovery
Recognize not just wins but the journey — the recovery, the pivot, the lesson learned. This reinforces that resilience is success.

It’s mental health awareness month so let’s start of by addressing the stigma that if you are seeing a counselor you are: weak, fragile, less then, or crazy.

Seeing a counselor doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re brave enough to heal.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s break the myth that talking to a counselor is a sign of weakness.

Truth is: It takes courage to confront what’s hurting, to ask for help, and to choose growth over silence.

One of my clients once said, “I thought going to therapy meant something was wrong with me. Now I realize it means I’m finally doing something right for me.”
That shift in mindset changed everything—for their relationships, confidence, and overall peace of mind.

Mental health is health. Let’s normalize healing, not hiding.

Confidence isn’t born—it’s built.
Every day you show up for yourself is a step toward a stronger, more empowered you.

Here are 8 small but powerful habits that will help you boost your self-confidence and quiet that inner critic:
1. Start your day with affirmations
2. Track your daily wins
3. Practice confident body language
4. Reframe self-doubt into curiosity
5. Learn something new every day
6. Speak up just outside your comfort zone
7. Give yourself compassion, not criticism
8. Set identity-based goals (“I am someone who leads with courage”)

Growth happens when your habits align with who you’re becoming.

Which of these will you start practicing today?

Being a team player isn’t just good for business—it’s powerful for your mental health too.

When we collaborate with others, we build trust, reduce workplace stress, and create a sense of belonging. Teamwork fosters psychological safety—an environment where you feel valued, heard, and supported.

Here’s how being a team player can boost your career and your well-being:
• You build stronger professional relationships
• You experience less burnout from shared responsibilities
• You gain confidence through positive feedback and contribution
• You feel less isolated and more connected
• You open doors to leadership opportunities and career growth

In today’s fast-paced world, individual success is often rooted in collective effort.
Teamwork is not just a skill—it’s a mindset.

Ask yourself: How can I support the success of those around me today?
