The Campus of Care, Incorporated is devoted to finding cures for women's health issues from pre-menarche to post menopause. We specialize in "all things feminine."
Maternal/fetal research is our primary business. Our medical researchers and clinicians are trained in qualitative and quantitative research techniques. We develop and test hypotheses, select variables to manipulate, and determine reliability and validity of our studies. Our data is then published and submitted to outside agencies and institutes for the rigorous peer review process.
Research ideas become research questions when a medical scientist seeks to solve a functional problem. For example, in developing countries teenage girls may miss several days of school each year due to the lack of feminine products. This problem must be re-phrased in a way that asks a question or solves a problem. Girls with feminine supplies would need to be studied in regard to family income, grades, and academic ability. In other words, every situation should be equal except the availability of feminine supplies, in order to eliminate variables. Questions with more than one variable become complex assignments.
Research may be original or may be an extension of prior research. Our data mining tool, the Mc Kellar Longitudinal Women’s Health Study is a comprehensive questionnaire that solicits information anonymously from girls beginning at age 12. There is no maximum age to participate in this study. Participants under the age of 18 must participate under the direction and supervision of a parent or guardian. We are currently modifying our original study for ages 12-17.
