Joint and bone pain in women, especially in our patients aged 40-60, is extremely common, yet too often chocked up as 'normal and routine'. Frozen shoulder, sore hips and knees, and sleep issues can be directly related to hormonal fluctuations. Estrogen is anti-inflammatory, and it protects bone, cartilage, muscle, and connective tissue so when it fluctuates wildly and then declines, these tissues change.
