The Life Enrichment team recently hosted a joyful craft session, and the creativity was flying high! Residents spent a delightful afternoon making butterfly pennants to hang on their doors.

Each resident picked out a favorite design and personalized their pennant with ribbon, sparkle, and a touch of bling. The activity was filled with smiles, conversations, and plenty of artistic flair!

Residents of Dallas Retirement Village recently took a fun trip to the local here in Dallas- and what a sweet treat it was!

This was the first time this particular group had visited Dreamies, and the local gem did not disappoint. Serving up delicious sheep's milk ice cream, it was a big hit with everyone who came along. The outing offered the perfect mix of sweet flavors and great company- and there's already excitement about going back for more!

The resident garden is thriving this summer, thanks to the care and dedication of the amazing residents here at Dallas Retirement Village! From juicy tomatoes to vibrant flowers and sweet fruits, every garden bed is full of life and color.

At Dallas Retirement Village, Little Sprouts Childcare brings joyful energy and meaningful purpose to the heart of the community. This onsite licensed childcare center’s open-door policy provides parents with a sense of security knowing they may visit their child any time, nurturing the bond between parent and child.

Please give a warm welcome to new Dallas Retirement Village resident, Mavis Cloutier!

Originally from Ashland, Mavis recently moved to be closer to family. A retired nurse and dedicated community volunteer, she spent 45 years with Soroptimist and 17 years with CASA, among other service roles- a truly inspiring record of giving back.

Mavis met her late husband while they both worked at Stanford. After retiring, they opened a donut shop called Puck's Donuts- a sweet chapter in their life story! 🍩

An early riser who enjoys fitness, good books, and great conversation, Mavis brings energy, kindness, and a sparkle in her eye wherever she goes.

The Life Enrichment Team hosted a diner-themed men's event called "Boys Burger Bar and Beer"! 👦🍔🍻

Residents were treated to a build-your-own burger bar stacked with all the classics- crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, sizzling bacon, and a wide variety of sauces. On the side? Golden, crispy French fries that hit the spot. 🍟

To wash it all down, there was plenty of Coca-Cola, and, of course, beer🍺 to keep spirits high.

The fellas also enjoyed live music with a lineup of throwback favorites that brought smiles, toe-tapping, and a few sing-alongs. 🎶🎸

With delicious food, refreshing drinks, great music, and even better company, it was an unforgettable afternoon.

Cheers and a big thank you to the Life Enrichment Team for making it all happen!

A lot of planning and detail go into organizing and executing the fireworks show, not to mention safety measures and plenty of clean up. But, year after year Dale and his team along side other Dallas Retirement Village staff, residents, family and friends enjoy the fun and festivities centered around celebrating America's independence.

Get ready for an unforgettable night- the Dallas Retirement Village 4th of July Fireworks Display kicks off at approximately 9:30pm. Join us as we celebrate Independence Day with a sky full of color, community spirit, and patriotic cheer!
