This is what I’ve come to know: health should make you less focused on yourself so you can see what is around you. People, places, experiences. It’s in the noticing. Looking up and looking around instead of fixating on yourself all the time.
It’s time to learn what works for YOU so you don’t fall prey to every new diet hack and trend, so you can love your life whether you’re in college or staring at half-time. Self-obsession is unfulfilling. Real wellness gets you out of yourself and into the world.

Simple, repeatable breakfasts that give me what I need are one of the best ways to manage all the eating out and parties and treats over the holidays. I like to start with high protein, some fiber, and lower calorie to fill me up and fit in what might come later. Save and share! This is a good one and we already know I can’t get enough of it.

Very little protein and fiber, not a vegetable in sight, and more alcohol than usual. And it just doesn’t matter. There’s so much freedom in knowing what I need and how to get it most days so that on days like this I have no stress and all fun🤘 One of my favorite things about health coaching is helping my clients enjoy holidays, vacations, and celebrations because they know what matters. No freak outs, no next day make-up-for-it meals, just habits and consistency most of the time so the one-offs are NBD.

As a former runner, I’m realizing that cardio is not much a part of my routine anymore, which is mostly walking and lifting weights. In the name of heart health, I’m adding SIT (sprint interval training) and HOLY FREAKING COW IT’S SO HARD evidenced by me gasping for air on my Peloton. Any interval training or whatever gets your heart pumping is great, just don’t ignore your ❤️ But do ignore charlatans and fear mongers who tell you cardio makes you store fat or isn’t necessary or makes your cortisol out of whack. So much fear and nonsense out there. SO, the plan is to add SIT one day a week for now bc I know that making new habits and keeping them requires manageable goals. Accountability is where it’s at. You peeled yourself out of bed and went to work out when it was 10 degrees? I got you. It feels really good to do what you say you’re going to do. I’m proud of my clients, but that doesn’t really matter in the end. They’re proud of themselves👊🏻👊🏻
