We’re excited to officially welcome Leslie to our team as our new Intake Coordinator! 🎉

Leslie brings a wealth of experience in student support, advocacy, and direct client services. Her background includes enhancing student outcomes through technology and personalized case management at Dallas College, as well as supporting survivors through the legal system during her impactful work with the District Attorney’s Office.

As a bilingual professional, Leslie is able to connect with and support a wider range of clients, ensuring that language is never a barrier to care. Her strengths in collaboration, resource coordination, and compassionate client engagement will be a tremendous asset to our mission.

Steps to calming yourself if overwhelmed by news and media updates:

Close your eyes
Take a deep breath
Say your name
Name 3 close friends and family members
Wiggle your toes in your shoes
Take a deep breath
Think of things you can control and things you’ve done to love others and who loves you today.

Then:
Allow yourself a media or scrolling break for at least one hour and get grounded.
