How Physical Therapy Can Help Treat Neurological Conditions

There’s more to physical therapy than the “physical” aspect. PT also helps treat people with neurological conditions who often face challenges with their movement. Therapists can guide these patients through specialized exercises to build the strength and proper form to move easier and live better lifestyles. Read more about the life-changing benefits of PT for those with brain, spinal cord or nervous system conditions, as explained by U.S. News & World Report: Physical therapy can help relieve symptoms of neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

[03/11/20]   In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, and following CDC recommendations, we are making every effort possible to maintain a safe environment for our patients and employees alike.

Our daily cleaning procedures are extremely thorough and comprehensive, but given the current situation, we are expanding our protocols in an effort to further keep our facilities safe for all patients and staff. Along those lines, we have increased the cleaning schedules of our professional cleaning staff and/or current staff to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces and equipment regularly throughout the day.

We are also requesting all staff and patients refrain from accessing the clinic when ill and to notify us if they've been in contact with anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. We also ask patients to inform us if they or anyone they've come in contact with has recently traveled to the following countries: China, Italy, Iran, Japan and South Korea.

During National Nutrition Month, and every month, make an effort to fuel your body with nourishing foods to power your workouts. Before exercising, aim to eat a balanced selection of proteins, carbs and fats, such as a fruit plate, protein-based smoothie with added vegetables and avocado toast. After a workout, it’s just as important to fuel back up to nourish your body for the remainder of the day. And, don’t forget to stay hydrated! 03/06/2020
