The function of a chakra is based on the quantity and quality of the ๐’‘๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’‚ or vital life force energy passing through it. Some would identify an imbalance of this energy as a blocked chakra. However, c me hakras are always functioning, but at what frequency and clarity?

What causes a chakra to become cloudy and stuck? Childhood traumas, limited belief system, cultural conditioning, habitual lifestyle choices, physical or emotional imbalances.

The 2nd chakra or ๐™Ž๐™ซ๐™–๐™™๐™๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™๐™–๐™ฃ๐™– is diving into the waters. We move from the first chakra, energy of the earth + ground and the bowl and container for chakra 2, the water, this beautiful cup that is capable:

My yoga practice began in 2003 as a means to release stress while working a typical 9-5 corporate job. It was simply a form of โ€œexerciseโ€ and about fitting my body into a pose and how the pose was suppose to look. Two years into my practice, I tore my ACL in a skiing accident and this is when yoga went from being my daily โ€œworkoutโ€ to time of deep physical and mental healing. The toll an injury has on your mental health is overwhelming and the yoga room became my safe place to cry, to be mad, and to learn lessons. I recovered, avoided surgery, moved out of depression into a space of hope. I decided I was going to become a teacher. Although difficult to see in the moment, my injury was a blessing.

Ayurveda + Yoga have gifted me with great health. However, this year has been physically challenging. I recently learned that I have a herniated disc at L5 + S1. Itโ€™s been a painful journey and once again my yoga practice is showing me the embodiment of healing, union of body, mind and spirit.

Yoga is about returning home, to Self, embodying or creating awareness, to be still and to feel because our bodies have a lot to tell us! Our day-to-day life schedules shut off this inner sense of knowing but yoga + meditation turn on the light ๐Ÿ’ซ

For the past year we have worked hard to curate a weekly class schedule that supports your physical, mental and spiritual practices. This is your space. A space to heal injuries, traumas or just simply to release the stress from all the things happening in our world today.

Whether you are new to yoga + meditation, want to deepen your practice or to simply be in communion with others, we are honored youโ€™re here and look forward to practicing next to you!
