Still smiling from NAMIWalks North Texas! 💙

More than 1,200 people came together to support mental health awareness, share hope, and remind one another that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Thank you to everyone who walked, volunteered, fundraised, sponsored, and supported this year’s event. The impact of our community continues long after walk day.

Today, we honor the lives and service of the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We stand with our Overwatch Peer Support team and all those who continue carrying the weight of service, loss, and trauma every day. At NAMI North Texas, we remain committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders, officers, and their families.

Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to remember the federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Behind every badge was a human being. A son or daughter. A husband or wife. A parent. A friend. Someone who kissed their family goodbye and answered the call to serve their community, knowing the risks that came with it.

At Overwatch Peer Support, we honor the fallen not just for how they died, but for how they lived. For the long shifts, missed holidays, sleepless nights, and the quiet sacrifices most people never see. Their service and dedication will never be forgotten.

Today is also a reminder to stand beside the officers still carrying the weight of this profession. Check on your people. Support one another. Remember that behind the uniform is a person who carries experiences most will never fully understand.

To the families, coworkers, and agencies forever impacted by loss, we stand with you.

We remember the fallen.
We honor their sacrifice.
And we will never forget.

National Police Week | May 10th - May 16th, 2026

This week, we recognize the men and women behind the badge who continue to show up every single day, even when the support feels quieter than it used to.

Law enforcement has never just been a job. It’s missed holidays, late nights, hard conversations, impossible decisions, and carrying things most people will never fully understand. Yet officers across this country still lace up their boots, answer the calls, and stand between chaos and the communities they swore to protect.

At Overwatch Peer Support, we see the weight this profession carries. We also see the heart behind it.

We see the officers who stay calm while others panic.
The ones who miss dinner to answer one more call.
The ones who carry trauma silently but still show compassion to strangers on their worst days.
The ones who continue to stay professional, even while being criticized, second guessed, and sometimes forgotten.

To every patrol officer, investigator, dispatcher, supervisor, corrections officer, school resource officer, federal agent, and law enforcement professional, thank you.

Thank you for continuing to serve with integrity.
Thank you for standing strong during difficult times.
Thank you for refusing to quit on your communities or each other.

Most importantly, thank you for being human in a profession that often expects you not to be.

Please check on your people this week. Some are carrying more than they will ever say out loud.

From all of us at Overwatch Peer Support, we stand with you.

WE SHOW UP.

💚 Stigma grows in silence. Healing begins in community.

Mental health struggles can feel isolating, especially when we think no one will understand.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re encouraging open conversations, honest connection, and support without judgment—because no one should have to navigate mental health alone.
