The Humble Post: August 2025
Sacred Rhythms: The Art of Holy Withdrawal
In a forced season of withdrawal, I put pen to paper - fingers to keys - and wrote about this season of chaos and my faith being challenged, eventually leading to beautiful spiritual disciplines, practicing presence, and sacred rhythms, all with a new profound sense of gratitude.

Sometimes it's nice to just push play and enter into His Presence with PRAISE!
Similar to acupuncture, EFT focuses on the Meridians of the body. Proponents say the tapping helps you access the body’s energy and send signals to the part of the brain that controls stress. By stimulating the meridian points through EFT tapping, negative emotions, memories and stress are greatly reduced, when combined with the Lord, these deep wounds and trauma memories can be healed completely.
An excerpt: If your setup phrase is, “Even though I experienced ______, I am completely forgiven and accepted through Christ, I deeply and completely accept myself,” your reminder phrase can be, “There is never any condemnation in Christ.” Recite this phrase at each tapping point. Repeat this sequence two or three times.
Psalm 103:3-6 The Passion, You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease. You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! You’re a God who makes things right, giving justice to the defenseless.
Our online sanctuary, The Well, has begun flowing ~
To our beloved members, we have been placing you inside the doors and will continued to do so...thank you for your patience.
We can’t wait to see you on the inside.
The Well IS CYA’s online sanctuary where all CYA members can access resources anytime. It is a sacred space for communion, fellowship and encouragement, a dwelling place and sanctuary.
But anyone who drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again. The water I give people will be like a spring flowing inside them. It will bring them eternal life.” John 4:14, ERV
Our prayer is that you come, anytime, to commune and drink from the well, be continually fed, nourished and supported in Christian yoga, business, ministry, and life.
The Well is Included in Any Membership and will continue to grow and expand each month with new resources.
[All CYA members are automatically placed in The Well - we have many members and a tiny team...you’ll receive a notification when you’re in there]
If you know of someone who struggles with anxiety in any form, please share this blog with them.
It's world meditation day and we want to remind you how effective meditation can be with your ailment and issues, as well as our library of resources connecting you to Christ, including this vital article:
Managing Anxiety Through Faith, Finding Peace Through Christian Yoga
Anxiety is a common struggle in today’s fast-paced world, leaving many feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. As Christians, we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Christian yoga offers a unique way to embody this scripture, combining physical movement, breathwork, and prayer to help manage anxiety and draw closer to God. Meditation on God’s word can help with anxiety, but often it’s much easier to read scripture than accept it when you’re battling anxiety.
The American Psychological Association (APA) defines anxiety as an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure. Anxiety is not the same as fear, but they are often used interchangeably and is considered a future-oriented, long-acting response broadly focused on a diffuse threat, whereas fear is an appropriate, present-oriented, and short-lived response to a clearly identifiable and specific threat.
Understanding Anxiety Through a Christian Lens
Anxiety often stems from fear of the unknown or a lack of control. Anxiety is when we meditate on the wrong things. However, as believers, we are called to trust in God’s sovereignty. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Christian yoga can provide a safe space to surrender our worries to God, aligning our bodies, minds, and spirits with His peace.

As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received: with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-4
