👩🦽 On July 26, the Americans with Disabilities Act ( ) will celebrate 35 years of mandating public accommodations and equal access to people with disabilities in the United States. The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) played a key role in shaping communication access regulations for this landmark civil rights legislation. 📲
Today, our nationwide community and chapters continue to fight for the rights of 50 million Americans with hearing loss—advocating for expanded accessibility, affordable hearing health care and advanced treatment options, nationally and locally.
