Legacy Cares was honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the nation’s largest non-profit fundraising dinner for the LGBTQ+ community, the Black Tie Dinner. Last Saturday’s event raised funds for Legacy and 19 other North Texas beneficiaries, as well as the Human Rights Campaign. It was truly an amazing night featuring inspiring speakers, including Jim Obergefell, Jaymes Black, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, and Congresswoman Julie Johnson. We are also grateful to Black Tie for their ongoing support of Legacy since the early days of our organization.

Legacy Cares extends our heartfelt gratitude to the TGRA Inc., Texas Gay Rodeo Association Dallas Chapter for their generous donation to the Cottage and The Grace Project! This weekend, during their Yellow Rose Pageant at The Round-Up Saloon and Dance Hall, they presented us with a check. Congratulations to the pageant winners and to TGRA for hosting a successful event!

This November the National Hospice & Palliative Care Month's theme is “We See the Whole You.” Hospice and palliative care are about more than addressing medical needs. They recognize and honor the whole person. Each patient brings a unique story shaped by experiences, values, and hopes. Our Legacy Founders Cottage provides Hospice, Palliative Care, as well as respite care for those with advanced stages of AIDS.
