I was raised in a French household, spent summers in France, and later lived and birthed my children in both France and Switzerland. I’ve volunteered with expatriate communities, helping ease their relocation to France, and spent years leading travels abroad with groups of students.

The Heart Chakra, or Anahata, lives in the very center of your chest — the sacred space where your soul breathes and your truth beats steadily. 💚

This energy center governs compassion, connection, and love — for others and for yourself. And when this chakra is balanced, we begin to see the world not through fear or judgment… but through softness, grace, and understanding.

The lens we choose to look through matters. It colors our perception and shapes the reality we experience.

When we find ourselves tangled in the energy of a situation, we have two choices:

The Lens of Fear
Imagine you're swimming, and a sudden swirl of water throws you off balance. You panic. “Something's wrong,” you think. “I must be in danger.” You assume the worst, jump to conclusions, and retreat into protection mode. Your mind races. Fight or flight kicks in. You brace for impact — even if there’s none coming.

The Lens of Love
Now, take that same moment. You're swimming, and feel a swirl of water. Instead of reacting, you pause. You plant your feet, gently rise, and look around. You notice a pool toy caught in the vacuum. Ah — it’s not danger. It’s just movement. You smile. That toy is a sign of joy, of play, of presence. The moment transforms… because you transformed your perspective.

Same pool. Same swirl. Entirely different experience.

Which one feels more peaceful? Which one feels more empowering?

This is the wisdom of the heart chakra. It invites us to rise — to lift ourselves from the storm and see with compassionate clarity. To realize that in any situation, there are deeper dynamics, multiple stories, and emotions swirling beneath the surface — not just our own.
