💁🏻♀️ The mineral comparison score is based on the number of minerals by which one or the other food is richer. The "coverage" chart 📊 shows how much of the daily needs can be covered by 300 grams of the food.
Overall, avocados 🥑 are rich in minerals. This fruit contains more Potassium, Manganese, and Zinc. Avocados contain four times more Zinc than bananas. On the other hand, the level of Sodium in bananas 🍌 is higher than in avocados
In the poll I posted 🙋🏻♀️ last week "which has more potassium" (gram for gram) 👉 avocados really have more potassium. You’d have to eat a whole medium avocado to get more 🚀 potassium than what’s in 1 banana.

And when you notice a victory, no matter how small, pause for 15-30 seconds and really feel it — don’t just rush right on to the next challenge.
Applaud yourself. Congratulate yourself. Take it in. 🥳
You may have a 🚀 long way to go, but just 👀 look how far you’ve come!

We had such a great time at family farm yesterday! Had a blast picking out our own fresh eggs 🥚 🍳
These guys really are into quality, sustainable farming. All their chickens and eggs are pasture-raised, with organic grain and soy free feed. Cows are grass fed AND grass finished (hard to come by), and they use regenerative farming practices to promote soil health and keep animals happy!
They are also the only farm to raise lectin-free chickens 🐓
They ship all over the US and deliver locally.

While commonly viewed 👀 as a vegetable, pumpkin is scientifically a fruit, as it contains seeds.
That said, it’s nutritionally 💁🏻♀️ more similar to vegetables than fruits.
Beyond its 😋 delicious taste, pumpkin is nutritious and linked to many health benefits.
What are you waiting for? add pumpkin to your meals! 🥳

If you are like us in this household, you’ve experienced at least 1 round of the cold virus, Covid and RSV in the past 3 months…. 😳🤧😷
So big shoutout to for making this gem of a lifesaver as a natural, safe option for kiddos! That… (wait for it)…….actually WORKS.
Honey, zinc, elderberry and ivy leaf extract. That’s it.
This momma thanks you for giving us a few more hours of sleep 😴🙌🏻🙏🏻

I mean… some days you just have to lay in a puddle of pumpkins 🎃 🍁

Have you tried adding Jicama to your diet? 🥣
🙋🏻♀️ I personally love jicama. It is a great source of prebiotic fibers that help feed the 🦠 good gut bacteria.
Jicama has a slightly 🍬 sweet taste. Can be roasted with 🧂salt, pepper and cumin for 🍟 jicama fries. Can use as a veggie for dipping in hummus or guacamole, added to 🥗 salads, roasted. You can even find them flattened in a “wrap” at grocery stores! 🛒

Interested in starting your own compost? Great! 🙌🏼🍃
Just make sure you’re 💁🏻♀️ choosing the right items. Also, it’s important to have a variety of both food scraps (greens), grass/twigs or leaves 🍂 (browns) and water 💦 to get the right ⚖️ balance of nutrients for your garden.

Fall garden planting complete! And seeds are already sprouting. 🌱
Carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, radishes, beans, cucumbers, and cabbage can all be planted late August into Sept in north Texas (zone 8).
Along with our home composting system. So easy to reuse kitchen scraps as nourishing fuel for the veggie garden 🙌🏻😀🥕🥒 we use the EPICA stainless steel compost bin for gathering the scraps because of the charcoal filter which completely removes any smells. For outside, the IM4000 Dual Chamber composter. Both have made it incredibly simple!

Compost is organic material that can be added to soil to help 🌱 plants grow. Food scraps and yard waste together currently make up more than 💁🏻♀️ 30 percent of what we throw away, and could be composted instead. Making compost keeps these materials out of landfills where they take up space and release methane, a potent greenhouse gas. 💨
📌All composting requires three basic ingredients: Browns, Greens and Water
Your compost pile should have an equal amount of 🟤 browns to 🟢 greens. You should also alternate layers of organic materials of different-sized particles. The brown materials provide carbon for your compost, the green materials provide nitrogen, and the 💦 water provides moisture to help break down the organic matter.

This is one of my favorite easy high protein, high fiber, Microbiome boosting meals!
✅ Beans: (soak overnight and drain the water to reduce the gas producing elements of legumes). I’ve used black beans, pinto and chickpeas
✅ Brown rice (can use cauliflower rice if you want to make this grain free).
Pro tip: eating cooked and cooked rice creates a resistant starch fiber which is power food for beneficial bacteria!
✅ Sautéed kale (can use any green. I’ve used chard and spinach too! Just make sure your greens are organic)
✅ Sauerkraut: my current fav is red beet and cabbage kraut.
Toss in a bowl and done!

💁🏻♀️🥒Cucumbers have the ability to reduce swelling and puffiness of the skin. This may be especially helpful if you've been running low on 💤 sleep and find you have dark, puffy circles under your eyes 👀.

There are ✌🏼things adulting can make you 🙇🏻♀️ agonize over: 1) the life you have and 2) the life you truly want.
But remember that you’re also 🙅🏻♀️ never “too old” to do something. If you think 💁🏻♀️ it’s worth a try or it’ll improve your life, health, happiness, and more, who cares what age you are? 🤷🏻♀️
Do it now and repeat the rewards. 🏆
Whether you’re 25, 55, or 85, you have so many wonderful opportunities 🎢 ahead of you, so many joyous memories you can create, and so many new possibilities to unlock 🔑 in this incredible journey of life.

🙋🏻♀️I think too often people think they have to devote an extended chunk of ⏰ time to exercising- if you don't have an hour then it isn't worth it, 🤷🏻♀️ right?
❌ Wrong! ❌
Consistency is 🔑 KEY! It is better to do 5-10min every day, than 60-90min on the weekends. 💃🏻 Your body wants to- and is made to- 🕺🏼 MOVE!
So if you 🙅🏻♀️ don't have an hour a day to workout, then try to set aside 💁🏻♀️ 5-10min to go walk 🚶🏻♀️, do squats, 🤸🏻♀️ stretch- whatever you can and are able to safely do. It will add up over time and your body will 🙇🏻♀️ thank you.
📌Remember: Doing something is better than nothing!

Proud of the beginnings of our radish harvest! Nothing like eating a veggie pulled straight from the ground 🥕
Radishes are full of antioxidants and vitamin C and coQ10 which are all critical for cellular health
They also contain indol-3-carbinol which plays a role in supporting liver detox
Try them roasted with salt and pepper as a different way to eat them. Or just raw with hummus!
Carrots are next!

This is my new favorite salad.
Seriously so good and easy to make!
👉🏻 spread 2 10oz containers of fresh pre-chopped butternut squash on a sheet pan with olive oil
👉🏻 add 1 bag shredded cabbage and 1 chopped onion
👉🏻 drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar
Roast at 400 for 20-30min
While the veggies are roasting combine in a bowl:
👉🏻 1 box organic arugula
👉🏻 1/2 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
👉🏻 1/4 cup parmesean cheese (you can use goat cheese or a nondairy cheese like )
When roasted veggies are done and cool toss 1/2 in with the greens.
For dressing: 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic, salt, pepper, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

💁🏻♀️ In addition to being a delicious fruit, watermelon 🍉 can also be used as a skin-care 🧖🏽♀️ product.
The next time you enjoy a slice of watermelon, 💡remember that the juicy fruit is much more than a satisfying snack.
Every part of the food — from the rind to the flesh, and even the seeds — has 💃🏻 multiple benefits for your skin.
Incorporating it into your routine can help calm 🔥 inflamed areas, heal damage after a breakout, and even help control conditions like acne and eczema from the inside out.

It feels so good to have a productive DIY home & garden project done!
Looking forward to a home garden with bell peppers, carrots, lettuce, radishes, onions, basil, oregano and cilantro! 🥗 🥕 🥬
Hoping the Green Thumb gods are with me 😬 but planting your own is easy and the veggies are less expensive, more nutritious, and wayyy yummier!

💁🏻♀️ We often hear about how bad cholesterol is and that it is important to drive cholesterol down.
.
But did you know cholesterol can actually get TOO low and when that happens, it can negatively affect health? 🙅🏻♀️
.
Cholesterol has many important roles in the body:
.
👉🏼 Building block for vitamin D
👉🏼 Is the backbone to your hormones estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone.
👉🏼 It is the scaffolding for all the cells in your body to keep toxins out of the cell and nutrients in.
👉🏼 Is a building block of bile- a critical digestive element that helps you digest fats, detox, and acts as an antimicrobial to prevent overgrowth of bacteria.
.
💁🏻♀️ Maintain healthy cholesterol levels by eating pasture-raised eggs 🥚, pasture raised meats 🥩, coconut oil 🥥, coconut butter 🧈, pasture-raised butter and ghee.

🤗 Fantastic breakfast recipe right here! 🥳
.
💁🏻♀️ Nondairy yogurt (I like greekstyle unsweetened yogurt- highest in protein for a nondairy yogurt I have found!)
💁🏻♀️ figs (a great source of fiber to promote digestive health by softening and adding bulk to stools, decreasing constipation, and serving as a prebiotic).
💁🏻♀️ pomegranate seeds (super high in antioxidants and supportive of your detox system.
💁🏻♀️ Apples, kiwi, cherry and blueberries (lower sugar fruit and high in antioxidants)
💁🏻♀️ Don't forget the mint sprig- adds a ton of flavor but no added junk.

🤷🏻♀️ Have you tried this trick?
But in all seriouslness, did you know a 12oz can of 🥤regular soda has 39g of sugar. 39!!😱 That is 9 tsp or 3 tbsp 🥄 of sugar in just 12oz.
All that sugar when overconsumed can lead to: 💁🏻♀️ insulin resistance (think weight gain), hormone imbalances, inflammation, liver problems, and fatigue just to name a few.
And diet soda is 🙅🏻♀️ not any better despite the fact that it does not have any added sugar.
👉 Artificial sweeteners are very disruptive to the microbiome and have been shown to still influence insulin levels.
Try instead to drink other beverages like 🍵 herbal teas, sparkling water, or 🍋🍎 fruit infused 💦 water.
